Comfort Partners, a subsidiary of TBI, announces the acquisition of Installatiebedrijf Van Walraven Uithoorn B.V., an established installation and maintenance company specializing in central heating boilers and heat pumps. The transaction, effective May 20, 2026 and announced on May 26, 2026, aims to strengthen Comfort Partners’ regional footprint in the Amsterdam metropolitan area and broaden its service portfolio for housing corporations.
Founded in 1940 and based in Uithoorn, Installatiebedrijf Van Walraven has over 80 years of experience in the installation sector, with a particular focus on maintenance and servicing of CV boilers and heat pumps. The company has maintained a longstanding partnership exceeding 40 years with housing corporation Eigen Haard, underscoring its deep client relationships in the residential sector.
The acquisition involves a full 100% stake transfer, though financial terms remain undisclosed. Owner Jan van Walraven, who led a thorough 18-month selection process, expressed confidence in Comfort Partners’ ability to ensure continuity for employees and clients. He stated, “The experience, solidity, and future-oriented approach of Comfort Partners gave me the assurance that our work and methods will continue uninterrupted. I am confident my employees are joining a strong organization.”
Comfort Partners’ strategy focuses on long-term maintenance and sustainability upgrades for housing corporations’ installations. Integrating Van Walraven’s expertise, particularly in heat pump technology, will enhance Comfort Partners’ sustainable energy solutions. Employees of Van Walraven will gain access to Comfort Partners’ in-house training programs in Amsterdam, covering CV boilers, heat pumps, and hybrid systems.
The deal reflects broader industry trends toward consolidation in the installation and maintenance sector, driven by increasing demand for sustainable heating solutions and energy-efficient building services. By expanding its regional presence and service capabilities, Comfort Partners aims to capture growing market opportunities and improve operational efficiencies through shared procurement and streamlined processes.
While integration presents challenges such as aligning organizational cultures and maintaining service quality, Comfort Partners plans a phased approach to ensure smooth transition and retention of key personnel and clients. The acquisition is expected to intensify competitive dynamics in the Amsterdam region, prompting rivals to consider similar consolidation moves and investments in sustainable technologies.
Looking ahead, Comfort Partners intends to leverage the combined expertise and client base to deepen relationships with housing corporations and accelerate the adoption of sustainable heating systems. The company welcomes the Van Walraven team and anticipates a collaborative future focused on innovation and service excellence.
