Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy, boosting AI-driven SAP modernization for mid-market companies across EMEA. Learn more about the deal.
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Netherlands-based SAP transformation partner focused on mid-market companies, in a strategic move to expand its Accenture Edge business. The deal, announced on August 25, 2026, will integrate McCoy’s expertise in SAP solutions with Accenture’s AI capabilities to accelerate modernization for mid-market clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from its headquarters in the Netherlands with additional offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company specializes in designing, implementing, and managing SAP solutions spanning ERP, data management, business solutions, managed services, and enterprise integration. McCoy is recognized as a leading SAP consultancy for mid-market firms in the Netherlands, serving sectors including high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities, and retail.
Upon closing, McCoy will become part of Accenture Edge, Accenture’s dedicated mid-market business unit targeting companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. This acquisition enhances Accenture Edge’s SAP modernization capabilities and broadens its geographic footprint in the EMEA mid-market segment.
Nicole van Det, CEO of Accenture Netherlands and Nordics, highlights the strategic importance of the deal: “SAP modernization and AI are increasingly becoming part of the same strategic agenda for mid-market companies looking to accelerate growth. McCoy will add the deep SAP expertise, strong client relationships and tailored delivery model needed to turn that agenda into business value.”
Srini Subramanian, CEO of Accenture Edge, adds, “McCoy’s entrepreneurial culture and track record serving mid-market clients make it an excellent fit for our strategy and ambitions for the region.” Tom van den Berg, Co-Founder of McCoy, said the partnership will enable the combined entity to offer broader SAP, technology, and AI capabilities while providing new career opportunities for McCoy’s 380 specialized professionals.
McCoy brings proprietary accelerators such as SmartERP, Smart Extensions, Smart Re-use, and McCoy Integration Studio, which standardize delivery and reduce implementation complexity. These tools will complement Accenture Edge’s existing offerings, including a joint initiative with SAP that provides packaged services tailored to mid-market organizations.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen Accenture Edge’s position as a leading SAP transformation provider in the EMEA mid-market, enabling faster SAP environment modernization and AI integration into core business processes. The deal value was not disclosed and remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Industry analysts note that this acquisition accelerates consolidation in the SAP consultancy space targeting mid-market companies, increasing competitive pressure on other providers to enhance their AI and SAP modernization offerings. Accenture’s expanded local expertise and delivery scale position it to deepen market penetration in key sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and public services.
Looking ahead, Accenture plans to integrate McCoy’s regional operations into its broader EMEA framework while maintaining client relationships and minimizing transition risks. The combined entity aims to leverage shared technology platforms and delivery models to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
Accenture continues to focus on being the reinvention partner of choice by combining its global scale, AI capabilities, and industry expertise to deliver measurable outcomes for clients. The McCoy acquisition aligns with this strategy by enhancing Accenture Edge’s ability to serve mid-market companies with tailored SAP and AI solutions.
