Hoppenbrouwers Techniek announces the acquisition of Feiken Verwarming, a well-established family business specializing in central heating boiler installation, maintenance, and repair. The deal, announced on May 4, 2026, integrates Feiken’s operations and customer base into Hoppenbrouwers’ broader technical services platform, enhancing its presence in Midden-Nederland.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition involves a full 100% stake transfer, with Feiken’s approximately 20,000 customers now part of Hoppenbrouwers’ portfolio. Existing maintenance contracts and service agreements will continue uninterrupted, ensuring continuity for Feiken’s clientele.
Feiken Verwarming, based in Leusden, has built a strong reputation over four generations for reliable service focused on central heating boilers (cv-ketels). The company’s team of skilled technicians serves residential customers throughout Central Netherlands. However, the heating market is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for renewable energy technologies such as heat pumps, solar panels, and home battery systems.
Jeroen Feiken, director of Feiken Verwarming, explains the rationale behind the deal: “We have grown by focusing on central heating boilers, but the market is shifting. Customers increasingly seek sustainable alternatives. To prepare Feiken for the future, we need to expand into new technologies. Partnering with Hoppenbrouwers allows us to do this while maintaining the personal service and craftsmanship our customers expect.”
Hoppenbrouwers, with over 100 years of experience, has evolved from a small electrical contractor into a leading technical service provider offering installation and maintenance across heating, electrical, and sustainable energy systems. CEO Henny de Haas highlights the strategic fit: “Feiken has a strong local presence and loyal customer base. Together, we can build on this foundation to support customers through the energy transition, combining traditional heating expertise with renewable solutions.”
The acquisition enables Hoppenbrouwers to cross-sell renewable energy products to Feiken’s customers, expanding service offerings to include heat pumps, solar panels, and home batteries. Operational synergies include shared procurement, streamlined maintenance processes, and enhanced technical training for Feiken’s workforce to adopt new technologies.
Industry trends show accelerating consolidation in the heating and technical services sector, driven by growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. Hoppenbrouwers’ move strengthens its competitive position in Midden-Nederland, where rivals may respond with similar acquisitions or partnerships.
Integration challenges include aligning the cultures of a family-owned business and a larger technical firm, managing customer communications to avoid disruption, and upskilling employees on renewable technologies. However, the combined entity aims to increase customer lifetime value and reinforce its brand as a comprehensive, future-proof service provider.
Looking ahead, Hoppenbrouwers plans to leverage Feiken’s local expertise while expanding its renewable energy capabilities, supporting customers’ transition from traditional heating systems to sustainable alternatives. The company welcomes Jeroen Feiken and his team to the Hoppenbrouwers group as it continues to grow in the Dutch technical services market.
