Blinck Accountants & Adviseurs, in partnership with investment firm Arcola, has acquired KIBO Accountants & Belastingadviseurs as of October 13, 2026. The acquisition adds a locally entrenched accounting and advisory firm based in Middelharnis to Blinck’s expanding platform. KIBO serves approximately 680 entrepreneurs primarily in Goeree-Overflakkee and surrounding regions, focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

KIBO, founded in 2011, has grown into one of the larger regional firms, catering to a diverse client base that includes fresh food retailers such as butchers, bakers, and fishmongers, as well as businesses in driving schools, retail, construction, real estate, and transport sectors. The firm offers accountancy, administrative services, tax advice, payroll administration, and strategic consulting.

Hein Kievit, director of KIBO, emphasizes the importance of maintaining local client relationships: “Our customers are right around the corner and that will remain so. At the same time, a firm of our size increasingly needs to organize quality assurance, systems, and training. Within Blinck, we no longer have to do this alone and can continue focusing on client service.” Martin Boogaard, also a director at KIBO, adds, “We deliberately sought a partner that respects the local character of the firm. Blinck allows offices to retain their identity while providing tailored support, which aligns with what we want for our team and clients.”

From Blinck’s perspective, Managing Partner Sebastian Visser highlights the strategic value: “KIBO is deeply rooted in Goeree-Overflakkee, with client relationships often spanning many years. We want to build further with this type of office. KIBO will gain access to additional expertise in Audit & Assurance, HR advisory, payroll, and Corporate Finance, enabling us to offer a broader range of services to entrepreneurs on the island.”

Arcola, an Amsterdam-based investment company, has been Blinck’s financial partner since last year, supporting growth through capital and expertise. The partnership model ensures that daily management and local entrepreneurship remain with the individual offices. KIBO is the third firm to join Blinck’s platform this year, following offices in Naaldwijk, Rijswijk, and Winschoten.

Clients of KIBO will experience no immediate changes in daily service. Existing contacts, teams, and working methods remain intact. Over time, KIBO will transition to operating under the Blinck name, with customers and employees informed well in advance of the rebranding.

Blinck Accountants & Adviseurs operates multiple offices across the Netherlands, serving SMEs with accountancy, tax advice, and financial planning. Since January 2026, the group has focused on building a platform where affiliated offices maintain their entrepreneurial independence while benefiting from shared knowledge, technology investments, and scale. The ambition is to become the most data-driven accountancy firm in the country.

The acquisition strengthens Blinck’s market position in the Goeree-Overflakkee region and broadens its service offering. By integrating KIBO, Blinck can cross-sell expanded services such as Audit & Assurance, HR advisory, payroll administration, and Corporate Finance to KIBO’s diverse SME client base. Operational efficiencies are expected through shared investments in quality assurance, systems, and training.

Industry consolidation in the Dutch accountancy sector continues, with firms seeking scale and enhanced capabilities to meet evolving client demands. Blinck’s approach of preserving local identity while providing centralized support aims to mitigate integration risks such as client attrition or cultural clashes.

Looking ahead, Blinck plans a careful integration process to align quality standards and operational systems without disrupting service continuity. The firm aims to leverage its platform to drive revenue growth and improve client retention while maintaining KIBO’s strong local ties.
