PlayVS, the foremost scholastic and collegiate competitive gaming platform in North America, announced on April 9, 2026, its acquisition of LeagueSpot, a global esports league and tournament management platform. This strategic move aims to bolster PlayVS’s technology capabilities and expand its footprint beyond North America.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition integrates LeagueSpot’s enterprise-grade league operations technology and competition infrastructure into PlayVS’s platform. PlayVS currently supports competitive gaming across thousands of schools, engaging over 200,000 students annually. The platform provides a structured pathway from high school to college esports, connecting students, coaches, educators, and institutions. LeagueSpot has collaborated with PlayVS’s College League (PCL) for several years, delivering operational scale and structured competition across collegiate esports in the U.S. and internationally.
