Avedon-backed Esprit ICT Acquires Belgian Care Tech Specialist Act With Care

Esprit ICT, a leading provider of healthcare and ICT solutions in the Benelux backed by Avedon Capital Partners, has acquired Act With Care, a Belgian specialist in integrated care technology and access control. The acquisition aims to enhance Esprit ICT’s position in the rapidly expanding healthcare automation sector by combining complementary product portfolios and expertise.

Founded in 2008, Act With Care employs 15 staff members and serves a broad range of clients in home care and care institutions throughout Belgium. The company has also extended its access control services to local governments and other key customers. Despite the acquisition, Act With Care will continue to operate under its own name and management team, preserving its local entrepreneurial culture.

While financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the acquisition represents a full stake purchase by Esprit ICT. The integration will enable Act With Care to leverage Esprit ICT’s extensive knowledge, resources, and infrastructure to better support clients with complex care technology challenges.

Operational synergies include shared research and development, streamlined administrative functions, and economies of scale in procurement. However, challenges remain in aligning product roadmaps, maintaining Act With Care’s local culture, and managing customer expectations during the transition.

Esprit ICT and Act With Care plan to proceed with integration while preserving the target’s brand and management autonomy. Regulatory approvals are not expected to pose significant hurdles. The combined entity aims to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities and enhance its competitive position amid accelerating consolidation in the Benelux healthcare automation market.
