ACCO Brands Corporation (NYSE: ACCO), a global leader in branded office products and technology accessories, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Trust, a Netherlands-based provider of computer and gaming peripherals from Egeria. The deal, announced on August 14, 2026, aims to expand ACCO Brands’ product offerings and geographic reach, particularly across Europe and Latin America.

Trust, founded in 1983, generates approximately $100 million in annual revenue through its portfolio of keyboards, mice, headsets, speakers, webcams, chargers, and gaming peripherals. The company operates an asset-light model with outsourced manufacturing and sells its products through retail, e-commerce, and B2B channels.

ACCO Brands plans to finance the acquisition through borrowings under its revolving credit facility, with limited impact on pro forma leverage. The transaction is expected to close by late third quarter or early fourth quarter 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

Tom Tedford, President and CEO of ACCO Brands, highlights the strategic importance of the acquisition: “Building on our recent pivot toward faster-growing technology peripherals, Trust adds a well-established brand and complements our existing Kensington, PowerA, and EPOS portfolios. This deal accelerates our growth in key categories and markets, with pro forma technology peripherals sales approaching $500 million annually.” He also anticipates cost synergies of $5 to $8 million within 18 months post-closing.

Trust’s CEO, Jeroen Hoogland, expressed optimism about joining ACCO Brands: “ACCO’s global scale and supply chain capabilities will enable us to accelerate innovation and expand our reach across Europe and beyond, benefiting both consumers and business customers.”

The acquisition strengthens ACCO Brands’ position in the competitive technology peripherals market by adding scale and expanding its footprint in Europe and Latin America. It also enhances the company’s multi-channel distribution capabilities, leveraging retail, online, and B2B networks.

Financial details such as the purchase price were not disclosed. However, the acquisition is expected to be modestly accretive to ACCO Brands’ adjusted earnings per share within the first 12 months. The company aims to realize operational efficiencies through supply chain integration, procurement consolidation, and streamlined administrative functions.

Industry analysts note that this deal reflects ongoing consolidation in the consumer electronics and gaming peripherals sectors, where scale and product breadth are critical competitive factors. ACCO Brands’ expanded portfolio positions it to better compete with other major players investing in innovation and market expansion.

Looking ahead, ACCO Brands will focus on integrating Trust’s product design and marketing capabilities with its existing brands to drive enhanced research and development collaboration. The company also plans to maintain strong customer relationships and retain key talent during the transition.

Regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions remain pending, with the transaction expected to finalize by the end of September 2026. Upon completion, ACCO Brands will continue to pursue growth opportunities in higher-margin technology peripherals segments, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and market leadership.
