Consertus, Inc., a portfolio company of private equity firm RTC Partners, has acquired Airosmith, Inc. dba Airosmith Development, a Saratoga Springs, New York–based provider of pre-construction solutions focused on wireless, fiber, and renewable energy infrastructure. The acquisition brings 105 infrastructure development professionals into the Consertus fold, substantially broadening its telecommunications and clean energy capabilities.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition is structured as a full ownership transfer, with integration efforts underway to combine Airosmith’s specialized expertise with Consertus’ national delivery platform. This move positions Consertus to better serve clients across the full lifecycle of telecommunications and renewable energy projects, from site acquisition and project management to engineering and design.
Consertus delivers integrated digital, advisory, delivery, engineering, and design services to clients worldwide. With over 1,200 professionals across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Europe, the Middle East, and India, the company supports sectors including transportation, healthcare, telecommunications, energy, utilities, government, and manufacturing. RTC Partners, its private equity backer, focuses on building growth-oriented businesses in professional and business services.
Airosmith specializes in pre-construction services such as site acquisition, architecture and engineering design, structural engineering, and outside plant design for wireless, fiber, and renewable energy infrastructure projects. The addition of Airosmith’s team enhances Consertus’ ability to deliver integrated solutions at scale, particularly in high-growth sectors where demand for network capacity, fiber expansion, and renewable energy development is accelerating.
Roy Block, CEO of Consertus, stated, “Airosmith is an outstanding addition to Consertus. Their expertise in wireless and fiber infrastructure advances our ability to deliver integrated solutions at scale. We’re excited to welcome their team and grow together.” Margaret Smith of Airosmith added, “Joining Consertus is an exciting next chapter for Airosmith and for our clients. Our teams share a strong commitment to quality and client service. By combining Airosmith’s pre-construction and telecommunications expertise with Consertus’ national delivery platform, we will broaden the solutions we can offer and create even more opportunities for our professionals and clients.”
RTC Partners’ Managing Partner Tony Brindisi commented, “This acquisition expands Consertus into high-growth infrastructure sectors and reinforces our commitment to building a diversified, best-in-class professional services platform.”
The acquisition is expected to generate synergies through cross-selling integrated wireless, fiber, and renewable energy pre-construction services, expanding offerings to existing clients, and leveraging combined expertise to win larger, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Operational efficiencies are anticipated via consolidation of administrative functions, economies of scale in procurement, and streamlined project management processes.
Market trends show increasing demand for telecommunications infrastructure and renewable energy projects, driven by digital transformation and sustainability goals. Consertus’ expanded capabilities position it competitively amid accelerating industry consolidation and rising client expectations for integrated service providers.
Integration challenges include aligning corporate cultures, harmonizing project management systems, and retaining key Airosmith personnel critical to specialized services. Consertus has appointed Cory Dow as Chief Synergy Officer to lead cross-firm synergies, national water/wastewater expansion, and M&A technology integration. Additionally, Jennifer Richmond joins as Chief Growth Officer to spearhead global growth strategy across infrastructure markets.
Looking ahead, Consertus aims to leverage the acquisition to capture larger infrastructure projects, enhance client retention, and accelerate growth in telecommunications and renewable energy sectors. The company continues to seek further acquisition opportunities to strengthen its platform and market position.
