AXI acquires Willux.be and Megabyte Infrastructure, adding 1,150 SME customers and €11M revenue, expanding managed IT services in Belgium.
Belgian IT service provider AXI, which is backed by Belgium private equity firm Strada Partners, has acquired two regional IT companies, Willux.be and Megabyte Infrastructure (MBI), marking a significant expansion of its SME-focused managed services and infrastructure capabilities. The combined customer base of approximately 1,150 clients and annual revenue exceeding €11 million will bolster AXI’s position in the Belgian IT market, particularly in East Flanders and Wallonia.
Willux.be, based in East Flanders, is a well-established Managed Services Provider (MSP) specializing in serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and non-profit organizations. The company supports over 450 customers with managed IT services, modern workplace solutions, cloud infrastructure, and IT support. Willux has a strong track record of customer portfolio integrations, including recent acquisitions of Rovacon and Double U.
Megabyte Infrastructure, headquartered in Namur, Wallonia, complements AXI’s offering with its expertise in IT infrastructure services. Serving around 700 customers, MBI has built a solid recurring revenue base and deep local market knowledge. Previously part of the international software group LISAM, MBI was divested as LISAM refocused its strategic priorities.
AXI’s Group CEO commented, “With Willux and MBI, we take two important steps simultaneously. Willux brings a profitable MSP profile with a strong modern workplace offering, perfectly aligned with our SME division expansion. Meanwhile, MBI provides us with a strategic entry into Wallonia, leveraging their local expertise and trusted relationships.” He added that the acquisitions strengthen AXI’s regional presence and service portfolio.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction involves a full acquisition of both companies, with approximately 40 employees continuing their roles from existing locations. These teams will be integrated into AXI’s SME division to ensure continuity and leverage synergies.
The acquisition aligns with AXI’s broader growth strategy, supported by majority investor Strada Partners, focusing on expanding managed services and cloud-based IT solutions for SMEs. By combining Willux’s modern workplace capabilities and MBI’s infrastructure expertise, AXI aims to accelerate cross-selling opportunities and deepen market penetration in Belgium’s competitive IT services sector.
Industry analysts note that this move reflects ongoing consolidation trends in the Belgian IT market, where providers seek scale and geographic reach to meet growing demand for integrated IT services. AXI’s entry into Wallonia through MBI is particularly significant, as regional market knowledge and local presence are critical in the SME segment.
Looking ahead, AXI plans to focus on smooth integration of the acquired companies, maintaining customer relationships and retaining key talent. The company also intends to leverage combined operational efficiencies and expand its service offerings to meet evolving client needs.
With these acquisitions, AXI reinforces its ambition to be a leading IT services partner for SMEs across Belgium, combining local expertise with a broad portfolio of managed services and infrastructure solutions.
