Ampere Analysis acquires PlumResearch, expanding streaming audience analytics across 75+ markets. Discover the strategic impact and future plans.
Goldenpeak-backed Ampere Analysis has announced the acquisition of PlumResearch, a Warsaw-based company specializing in global streaming audience measurement and analytics. The deal, announced on May 26, 2026, expands Ampere’s data capabilities and reinforces its position as a leading provider of media and entertainment analytics.
Founded in 2015, PlumResearch operates a team of 20 professionals and delivers granular streaming audience data through its proprietary Showlabs platform. The company’s analytics cover more than 75 markets, providing detailed, real-world viewership insights via large-scale audience panels. This acquisition allows Ampere to integrate PlumResearch’s deep audience measurement with its own market sizing, consumer behavior, and title-level data, creating comprehensive insights across streaming, content production, distribution, and media rights.
While the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, Ampere has acquired 100% ownership of PlumResearch. The transaction follows Goldenpeak’s recent investment in Ampere Analysis, a private equity firm focused on high-growth business and information services in the UK and Ireland. PlumResearch’s initial growth was supported by its first investor, the Polish venture capital fund Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder.
Ampere Analysis, founded in 2015 and headquartered in London, specializes in media analytics across sport, games, pay TV, and multiscreen content distribution. PlumResearch complements Ampere’s offerings by providing device-agnostic tracking and behavioral metrics that enhance streaming audience measurement.
Richard Broughton, Executive Director at Ampere Analysis, highlighted PlumResearch’s innovative approach: “Plum’s approach to streaming measurement is both innovative and highly practical, combining device-agnostic tracking, large panels, and rich behavioural metrics to deliver practical value for media clients.” Lukasz Jeziorski, Founder and CEO of PlumResearch, emphasized the strategic fit: “Together, we bring complementary strengths in content analytics, KPI measurement and audience-level data, creating significant opportunities for clients and the wider business.”
The acquisition responds to increasing demand in the media industry for more granular audience intelligence and improved streaming behavior measurement. By combining datasets and expertise, Ampere aims to develop new analytics products, expand its global reach, and offer richer insights to clients across the media ecosystem.
Market trends show growing competition in streaming analytics, with companies seeking to enhance data scale and accuracy. Ampere’s expanded capabilities position it to meet these challenges and accelerate innovation. However, integration will require aligning data standards and managing cross-border teams to maintain data quality and client service.
Financial details such as valuation and multiples were not disclosed. The deal is expected to strengthen Ampere’s competitive position by expanding its geographic footprint and product offerings. Integration plans include combining PlumResearch’s Showlabs platform with Ampere’s existing datasets to create connected insights across streaming and media rights value chains.
Looking ahead, Ampere Analysis plans to leverage the acquisition to innovate new products, increase client retention, and explore new market opportunities. The combined entity aims to deliver enhanced value to media companies, studios, broadcasters, and streaming platforms worldwide.
