Goldenpeak acquires majority stake in Ampere Analysis to boost growth and expand media analytics services. Learn about the strategic investment and acquisition.
Goldenpeak, a private equity firm specializing in high-growth business and information services, has completed a majority investment in Ampere Analysis, a UK-based data and analytics company focused on the media, games, and sports industries. This acquisition, announced on May 26, 2026, marks Goldenpeak’s first institutional investment and is designed to support Ampere Analysis’s next phase of growth, including organic expansion and targeted acquisitions.
Ampere Analysis provides subscription-based online services delivering market intelligence, audience insights, and monetisation strategies to clients such as film and TV studios, technology firms, gaming groups, and sports organizations. The company is founder-led and recognized for its differentiated product offering and strong market reputation.
Alongside the investment, Ampere Analysis is acquiring PlumResearch, an independent data company that offers insights to the global entertainment industry. This acquisition will enable Ampere to combine audience viewership data with its existing analytics, broadening its product suite and enhancing monetisation tools.
Mark Williams, Founder and Managing Partner at Goldenpeak, said, “This strategic investment sits firmly within Goldenpeak’s investment focus. Ampere Analysis is a founder-led business with a differentiated product, strong market reputation and sustained top-line performance. The management team is ambitious and innovative, and we look forward to partnering with them to support the next phase of development.” Leon Gillespie, also Founder and Managing Partner at Goldenpeak, added, “The UK data and analytics market is rapidly expanding, with organisations increasingly prioritising data-driven decision-making. This investment represents a significant milestone for Goldenpeak and highlights our focus on building trusted, collaborative partnerships with founders.” Dan Stevenson, Managing Director of Ampere Analysis, commented, “This partnership marks a new chapter for Ampere Analysis. With Goldenpeak’s backing, we have an opportunity to accelerate our growth ambitions and strengthen our position as a leading data and analytics platform for the global media industry. We’ll be able to broaden our capabilities, innovate faster and deliver deeper insights and greater value for clients.”
The deal structure details, including financial terms, were not disclosed. Goldenpeak’s investment is majority equity, positioning the firm as the first institutional investor in Ampere Analysis. The investment will fund growth initiatives and support the integration of PlumResearch’s data assets.
Goldenpeak was advised by Plural on commercial due diligence, KPMG on financial due diligence, Squires Patton Boggs on legal matters, and Cardean Bell on corporate finance.
The media and entertainment analytics market is experiencing rapid growth driven by increasing demand for data-driven decision-making across content creation, distribution, and monetisation. Ampere Analysis’s expanded data capabilities and broader product suite position it to capture greater market share amid accelerating industry consolidation. Competitors are expected to respond with similar acquisitions and investments in proprietary analytics technology.
Integration challenges include aligning corporate cultures between the founder-led Ampere and private equity ownership, merging PlumResearch’s data systems without disrupting client service, and maintaining innovation momentum during organizational changes.
Looking ahead, Goldenpeak and Ampere Analysis plan to leverage combined expertise to scale organically and through further acquisitions, enhancing product offerings across media, games, and sports sectors. The partnership aims to solidify Ampere’s leadership in global entertainment and media analytics.
