PentenAmio Acquires Armour Communications to Expand Secure Mobility

PentenAmio acquires Armour Communications, enhancing secure communications and AI cyber defence capabilities. Learn about the strategic deal and future plans.

Five V Capital-backed PentenAmio, the British-Australian specialist in secure communications and AI cyber defence, has completed the acquisition of Armour Communications, a UK-based provider of trusted encryption solutions. The deal, announced on April 21, 2026, follows regulatory approvals and marks PentenAmio’s first acquisition since its formation in May 2025.

While financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition involves a full 100% stake in Armour Communications. The integration brings Armour’s team of specialists into PentenAmio’s 300-strong workforce, adding significant engineering expertise, particularly in secure application development.

PentenAmio, headquartered in Tewkesbury, England, delivers advanced secure mobile communications, AI-enabled cyber defence, and electronic deception technologies tailored to the evolving demands of defence and security sectors across the UK, Australia, and allied nations. Armour Communications provides encryption solutions for secure voice, messaging, video, and data communications on off-the-shelf devices, serving government, finance, and enterprise markets with cloud-based and on-premises platforms.

The acquisition formalizes a partnership that has spanned over eight years, combining the companies’ capabilities to pursue significant growth opportunities in secure mobility. Sarah Bailey, Group CEO of PentenAmio, stated, “I’m delighted to welcome David, Andy, and the entire Armour Communications team to PentenAmio. This acquisition will help us continue to protect those who protect us by securing vital technology within our ecosystem.” David Holman, Co-founder and CEO of Armour Communications, added, “Having worked closely with PentenAmio for years, we look forward to deepening our collaboration and driving innovation together in this new chapter.”

Strategically, the acquisition expands PentenAmio’s service portfolio and client base, enabling cross-selling of communications services and enhancing secure mobility offerings. Operational synergies include consolidating administrative functions and streamlining technology platforms, which are expected to improve client service delivery and operational efficiency.

The deal positions PentenAmio to better meet the evolving security requirements of governments and allied organizations, reinforcing its resilience and accelerating innovation. Industry observers note that this move may increase competitive pressure, prompting rivals to consider similar acquisitions or invest more heavily in service innovation.

Integration challenges include aligning corporate cultures, merging technology platforms, and retaining key talent from Armour Communications. However, the combined expertise is expected to create a stronger, unified organization capable of delivering secure communications solutions at a global scale.

Looking ahead, PentenAmio plans to integrate Armour’s capabilities fully and continue developing innovative secure mobility solutions to address the complex demands of modern defence and security environments.
