Blinqx, a provider of AI workflow platforms for financial and business service providers backed by Hg Capital, has acquired Zenvoices, a specialist in AI-powered invoice recognition and automated bookkeeping. The acquisition, announced on August 31, 2026, aims to enhance Blinqx’s Accountancy & Tax platform by integrating Zenvoices’ technology for automated invoice processing.

Zenvoices, founded in 2016 by Nik Schuiling, offers an AI-native platform that automates the entire invoice processing workflow—from invoice recognition and verification to automatic bookkeeping entries. The platform serves over 2,500 clients, processing more than 35 million invoices annually across approximately 70,000 accounting administrations.

With this acquisition, Blinqx adds a robust solution for AI-driven invoice automation to its portfolio, complementing its existing AI tools for CRM, office management, document compliance, KYC management, tax filings, and financial reporting. The integration is expected to streamline bookkeeping processes for accountants and SMEs, reducing manual workload and increasing accuracy.

Ruud van der Kruk, CEO of Blinqx, states, “We are pleased to welcome Zenvoices to the Blinqx family. Nik and his team have built a product-led company that significantly eases the bookkeeping process for accountants and SMEs through AI. Their high accuracy in invoice processing fits seamlessly with our modular platform for accountants. We look forward to accelerating growth together.”

Nik Schuiling, founder and CEO of Zenvoices, adds, “Blinqx shares our values and vision, providing the scale and expertise to realize our growth ambitions. We are proud of this partnership and excited about what we will achieve together.”

The acquisition reflects broader industry trends toward AI adoption in financial services, where automation of routine tasks such as invoice processing is increasingly critical. By combining Zenvoices’ voice recognition and invoice automation technology with Blinqx’s AI workflow platform, the company aims to strengthen its competitive position and expand its service offerings in sectors including accountancy, finance, insurance, and legal.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The integration will focus on aligning product roadmaps and technical teams to ensure a smooth transition and maximize synergies. Challenges include technical integration of voice and AI technologies, cultural alignment, and managing client expectations during the process.

Looking ahead, Blinqx plans to leverage combined R&D resources to accelerate innovation and explore new verticals. The acquisition is expected to increase Blinqx’s market share in AI-driven software solutions for financial and business services, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of AI workflow platforms.
