eps, a family-owned company headquartered in Munich, Germany, has acquired NÜSSLI, a Swiss group with 85 years of experience in temporary event infrastructure from Helvetica Capital. The transaction, announced in August 12, 2026, combines two world market leaders to create a global provider of temporary event solutions with 820 employees operating across 50 locations worldwide.
While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the merger unites eps’s expertise in turf and ground protection systems and crowd control with NÜSSLI’s specialization in temporary grandstands, stadiums, stages, halls, expo pavilions, exhibitions, and special constructions. This integration enables the combined group to offer a full spectrum of event infrastructure services from a single source.
eps, founded 30 years ago, employs 350 people across 29 locations. It focuses on turf and ground protection, crowd control, and visitor management, serving approximately 5,000 events annually, primarily in Europe, North America, Brazil, and Australia. NÜSSLI, established in 1938, has 470 employees at 21 sites and delivers around 1,500 projects yearly, with a strong presence in Switzerland, Central and Southern Europe, and the Americas.
The strategic rationale behind the merger centers on expanding geographic reach and broadening the product portfolio. According to Tom Bilsen, CEO of eps, “Our customers prefer fewer suppliers to streamline coordination and meet tighter schedules and stricter technical requirements. This merger allows us to deliver exactly that, combining our complementary strengths and extending our presence where previously only one of us operated.” Andy Böckli, Group CEO and former NÜSSLI CEO, adds, “Both companies are operationally and financially strong. This merger positions us for growth, enabling expansion into new markets with a broader offering and increased investment in people and capabilities.”
The combined entity serves a prestigious client base including Live Nation, the World Economic Forum, AEG Live, the International Olympic Committee, Formula 1, ATP Tour, Ryder Cup, Red Bull, and major international festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland. This breadth of clientele underscores the group’s leadership in delivering complex, large-scale event infrastructure worldwide.
Market trends indicate increasing demand for integrated event infrastructure solutions that can meet evolving safety, logistical, and environmental standards. The merger is expected to accelerate industry consolidation, as competitors face pressure to match the scale and comprehensive offerings of the new group. Operational synergies include shared procurement, streamlined administration, and enhanced innovation through combined R&D efforts.
Financial details such as deal value and multiples were not disclosed. The transaction follows NÜSSLI’s 2017 investment by Helvetica Capital, which supported a successful restructuring and growth phase. The current owners chose a strategic industry partner to ensure long-term stability and growth.
Looking ahead, the group plans to maintain the distinct brand identities of eps and NÜSSLI while integrating back-end functions and harmonizing IT and project management systems. Challenges include aligning corporate cultures and coordinating operations across multiple global sites. However, the leadership team expresses confidence in realizing synergies and expanding market share.
With a combined 115 years of experience, eps and NÜSSLI aim to set new standards in temporary event infrastructure, delivering innovative, reliable solutions for clients worldwide.
