Amista, a leading consultancy in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) backed by Capital A, has completed the acquisition of Intellus Group, a specialized consultancy with expertise spanning SAP, Microsoft, AWS, and Databricks technologies. The deal, announced in July 2026, aims to broaden Amista’s capabilities across the entire data journey, from strategy and architecture to advanced analytics and generative AI.

While the financial terms of the transaction remain undisclosed, the combined organization now employs over 450 consultants, serves more than 1,000 B2B clients, and generates annual revenues exceeding EUR 70 million. Intellus Group, founded in 2010 and headquartered in Boortmeerbeek, Ghent, and Contern, brings over 130 experienced consultants and a strong footprint in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Intellus Group operates through its specialized brands Cubis, Lytix, and Aivix, delivering comprehensive services across the full data lifecycle. Its expertise includes data strategy, architecture, reporting, machine learning, and generative AI, serving sectors such as manufacturing, retail, utilities, financial services, and the public sector.

“Intellus Group has an outstanding track record of turning complex data challenges into tangible business results, using the same pragmatic, no-nonsense approach we believe in,” said Pieter-Jan Deraedt, CEO of Amista. He added, “By combining our SAP ERP, document management, and integration expertise with their multi-platform data and AI capabilities, we can support customers from ERP and master data all the way to advanced analytics and AI. One partner, one connected approach.”

The acquisition aligns with Amista’s strategic objective to build one of the most comprehensive Data, Analytics & AI offerings in the Benelux region. It follows recent integrations of Alluvion, Aarini, GeONE, and Nessi into the Amista group, further expanding its technology and consulting portfolio.

Wim Van Wuytswinkel, Managing Partner at Intellus Group, commented, “We started Intellus Group with a clear ambition: helping organizations make better decisions with their data, without hiding behind buzzwords. In Amista, we found a partner that shares that mindset. Joining the group gives us the scale and reach to bring our expertise to more customers, while preserving the teams, culture, and specialized brands that made us successful.”

Post-acquisition, Intellus Group’s brands will continue operating under their existing names in the near term, ensuring continuity for customers and employees. The combined entity plans to gradually align go-to-market strategies, methodologies, and technology roadmaps, focusing on long-term value creation.

The deal enhances Amista’s competitive position by integrating complementary technology stacks and expanding service offerings into new verticals. It also enables cross-selling opportunities and operational efficiencies through consolidation of administrative functions and streamlined technology platforms.

Industry experts note that this acquisition accelerates consolidation in the data and AI consultancy market, increasing pressure on competitors to broaden their capabilities or pursue similar deals. However, integration challenges such as cultural alignment and retention of key talent remain critical to realizing the full potential of the transaction.

Looking ahead, Amista aims to leverage the combined expertise to win larger, multi-disciplinary projects and accelerate innovation in AI-driven business solutions, strengthening client relationships through an expanded service scope.
