Motshagen Holding acquires Dullaart Glas, strengthening its position in the Dutch glass industry with a €4M revenue regional specialist.

Motshagen announced on May 6, 2026, the acquisition of Dullaart Glas, a well-established glass wholesaler and processor founded in 1927. This transaction enhances Motshagen’s footprint in the glass sector by adding a company with a strong regional presence and advanced glass processing capabilities.

Dullaart Glas, based in Leiden, serves a diverse customer base including window and veranda builders, glass retailers, interior constructors, and property maintenance firms. The company operates a modern, automated machine park capable of cutting, grinding, and CNC glass processing, enabling rapid and flexible responses to customer-specific demands. With approximately 10 employees, Dullaart Glas generates annual revenues of around €4 million.

The seller, Duverre Beheer B.V., the family holding of Robin Dullaart, has overseen the company’s growth since 1996. Dullaart, representing the fourth generation, led the company to become a solid regional player with strong operational foundations and long-term client relationships. Following the sale, he will focus on other entrepreneurial ventures, including his Home & Living e-commerce business, Wilhelmina Designs B.V.

The acquisition fits Motshagen Holding’s strategy of building a network of specialized glass companies that operate collectively as suppliers within the construction and interior sectors, while maintaining regional autonomy. Motshagen’s portfolio now includes Motshagen Glas in Hilversum, Proglass in Amersfoort, and Dullaart Glas in Leiden.

A spokesperson for Motshagen Holding stated, “Dullaart Glas complements our group perfectly with its strong regional position and in-house glass processing capabilities. We look forward to leveraging their expertise and expanding our market presence together.” Motshagen will oversee the company’s future development and management, ensuring continuity for customers and suppliers. Robin Dullaart will remain involved in a supporting role to facilitate a smooth transition.

Industry consolidation in the glass and construction materials sector is accelerating, driven by the need for scale, operational efficiency, and enhanced service offerings. Motshagen’s acquisition of Dullaart Glas is expected to generate synergies through cross-selling, procurement optimization, and shared logistics. However, integration challenges such as aligning corporate cultures and retaining key personnel remain considerations.

Looking ahead, Motshagen Holding aims to strengthen its market position by integrating Dullaart Glas’s automated processing technologies and expanding its product portfolio. The deal underscores ongoing consolidation trends in the Dutch glass industry and highlights Motshagen’s commitment to building a leading group of specialized glass companies.
