Van Dillen Bouwgroep has acquired Vink Groep, enhancing its construction portfolio and aligning with its vertical integration strategy.
Van Dillen Bouwgroep, a 300-year-old family-owned construction firm based in Culemborg, has announced its acquisition of Vink Groep, a company specializing in facade works and scaffolding. This strategic move, revealed on February 27, 2026, aims to integrate all construction facets within Van Dillen’s operations, enhancing its service offerings and operational efficiency.
The acquisition aligns with Van Dillen’s ongoing strategy of vertical integration, which has been in place for over a decade. By incorporating Vink Groep’s expertise, Van Dillen can now manage all aspects of construction—from development to installation—under one roof. Cees van Dillen, the company’s general director, emphasized that this integration allows for better control over the construction process and associated costs.
Vink Groep, founded in 2004 by Jeroen Vink, has established itself as a solid player in the construction industry, focusing on five key activities: facade work, insulation, scaffolding, equipment, and transport. Following the acquisition, Vink Groep will retain its name and identity, continuing to operate as a distinct entity within the Van Dillen group.
The construction sector in Culemborg is experiencing significant growth, with major projects such as the Stationskwartier and sustainable residential neighborhoods underway. This acquisition positions Van Dillen to capitalize on the increasing demand for integrated construction services, potentially leading to more collaborative opportunities for local subcontractors.
Both companies have a history of collaboration on various projects, which Jeroen Vink noted as a foundation for a successful integration. He stated, “This acquisition feels like a logical development that strengthens both parties, allowing us to work more effectively on affordable, sustainable housing and buildings.”
Van Dillen’s comprehensive approach to construction, which includes its own engineering division, carpentry and prefab factory, and installation company, is expected to reduce coordination costs and delays. The integration of Vink Groep’s services will further enhance this model, enabling the companies to optimize construction methods for sustainability goals, particularly in reducing CO₂ and nitrogen emissions.
As the construction landscape evolves, the acquisition is anticipated to enhance Van Dillen’s market share in the regional sector. The company is poised to benefit from increased project bids due to its expanded service offerings, while also addressing the growing demand for specialized partners and suppliers in the area.
Looking ahead, Van Dillen plans to focus on integrating operational processes and retaining key talent from Vink Groep to ensure a smooth transition. The acquisition not only marks a significant milestone for Van Dillen but also reflects broader trends in the construction industry towards consolidation and enhanced service integration.
