Kornit Digital acquires PrintFactory to integrate cloud-native workflow software, accelerating digital transformation in fashion and textile production.

Kornit Digital Ltd., a leader in sustainable, on-demand digital fashion and textile production technology, has acquired PrintFactory, a Netherlands-based specialist in cloud-native workflow, color management, and production automation software. The deal, announced on April 12, 2026, marks a strategic step in Kornit’s mission to digitize the global fashion and textile industry by connecting demand generation, production workflow, and fulfillment into a unified digital ecosystem.

While the transaction’s financial terms remain undisclosed, the acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. PrintFactory will continue operating from its headquarters in the Netherlands, maintaining its open, technology-agnostic platform and serving its global customer base, which includes over 10,000 active users and thousands of production sites worldwide.

Kornit Digital, headquartered in Rosh Ha’ayin, Israel, provides end-to-end digital printing systems, inks, consumables, software, and fulfillment services to customers in more than 100 countries. PrintFactory specializes in cloud-based workflow, RIP, color management, and automation solutions that enable professional print operations to reduce waste, improve output consistency, and streamline complex production processes.

The acquisition strengthens Kornit’s platform by integrating PrintFactory’s automation capabilities, enabling producers to manage unified workflows and maintain consistent output across mixed technology environments. This is particularly significant for the global screen-printing market, one of the largest apparel decoration segments, which remains heavily reliant on analog processes. Kornit’s enhanced platform aims to simplify the transition to digital production, addressing operational challenges such as workflow complexity, technology coordination, and production consistency.

Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital, emphasized the strategic importance of the deal: “This acquisition is about more than workflow or color management. It is about building the digital infrastructure the fashion industry needs to move from analog production to agile, on-demand manufacturing. By connecting demand generation, production workflow and manufacturing through one integrated platform, we are accelerating the industry’s transition to a new production model.” Erik Strik, CEO of PrintFactory, added, “Joining Kornit opens an exciting new chapter. Kornit’s global reach, innovation culture and platform vision will accelerate our roadmap and significantly expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”

The integration of PrintFactory’s platform will enable Kornit to better support global brands and industrial producers operating large-scale on-demand manufacturing networks. PrintFactory’s technology supports over 3,500 models of printing and cutting devices, facilitating reliable quality across diverse locations and technologies. This capability aligns with Kornit’s strategy to penetrate the traditionally analog screen-printing market and unlock growth opportunities by offering a connected digital infrastructure spanning the entire fashion and textile production value chain.

Industry trends indicate a shift from isolated production tools toward connected digital manufacturing environments. Kornit’s acquisition accelerates this transition, increasing competitive pressure on traditional screen-printing technology providers and workflow software vendors. The deal also presents operational challenges, including aligning software platforms, managing cultural differences between Israeli and Dutch teams, and ensuring seamless integration without disrupting existing customer workflows.

Financially, the acquisition is not expected to materially impact Kornit’s near-term revenue or earnings. However, it offers potential synergies through expanded digital production offerings, cross-selling opportunities, and operational efficiencies such as reduced redundancies and optimized cloud infrastructure.

Looking ahead, Kornit plans to leverage the combined technologies to create a continuous digital value chain that connects consumer demand to production and fulfillment. This integrated platform aims to support scalable digital manufacturing operations and enhance customer experience in the evolving fashion and textile industry.
