Adenia Partners has successfully reached the $180 million hard cap at the first close of its Adenia Entrepreneurial Fund I (AEF) on March 19, 2026, surpassing its initial $150 million target in less than a year. The strong investor demand highlights continued confidence in Africa’s private equity landscape and Adenia’s strategy of backing high-growth, founder-led businesses. The fund attracted a diverse base of institutional investors, including development finance institutions, European family offices, fund-of-funds, and African asset allocators.

AEF represents the first in a new series of funds focused on control investments in small and lower mid-cap companies—one of the most undercapitalized yet opportunity-rich segments in Africa. Leveraging over 20 years of experience, Adenia aims to partner closely with management teams to professionalize operations, implement best practices, and accelerate sustainable growth. The strategy emphasizes long-term value creation, with a strong focus on job creation, improved industrial standards, gender inclusion, and environmental responsibility.

Alongside the first close, Adenia has completed its inaugural investment in Maymana, a leading Moroccan culinary brand. Founded in 1985, Maymana offers a wide range of traditional Moroccan pastries, bakery and viennoiserie products, as well as catering services for corporate and private clients. The business, which is female-founded and family-led, has built a strong domestic presence and is increasingly expanding internationally.

Through its partnership with Adenia, Maymana will focus on strengthening its institutional framework, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding its footprint both within Morocco and abroad. The investment reflects Adenia’s core strategy of supporting well-established, founder-led companies with strong brand identity and clear scalability potential.
