Romijnders Acquires Rutgers to Expand Technical Installation Services

Ufenau Capital Partners-Backed Romijnders, a prominent technical installation services group based in Wijchen, Netherlands, has acquired Rutgers, a well-established mechanical installation company from Oosterblokker. The acquisition, announced in September 01, 2026, aims to combine expertise and expand Romijnders’ footprint in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) market.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Rutgers, founded in 1924, operates with approximately 40 employees and serves a diverse client base including utility customers, project developers, and private clients. The company specializes in mechanical installations such as heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, heat pumps, and swimming pool technology.

Romijnders, established in 1904, is a growing group of technical installation companies active in both mechanical and electrical installation services. With this acquisition, Romijnders increases its workforce to around 140 employees, reinforcing its position in the Dutch technical installation market.
