Pride Capital Partners has completed its first investment in Norway by acquiring Duell Software AS and its development entity, Panteon AS. This strategic move aims to bolster Duell's position in the fragmented Nordic point-of-sale (POS) market.

Pride Capital Partners has finalized its inaugural investment in Norway, acquiring Duell Software AS along with its software development arm, Panteon AS. This acquisition is a significant step for Pride Capital as it seeks to expand its footprint in the Nordic point-of-sale (POS) market.

Duell Software, headquartered in Kristiansand, Norway, offers a cloud-native operational software platform tailored for commerce-driven businesses. The platform integrates essential functionalities such as logistics, inventory management, bookings, payments, and daily operations, with POS capabilities embedded within its architecture. Duell’s modular design allows it to cater to various business verticals, boasting over 1,250 subscribers to its core software and a suite of add-on modules available for incremental monthly fees.

Panteon serves as the in-house development team for Duell, enhancing the platform’s innovation while also supporting select external clients. The combined entity plans to continue its organic growth in Norway by expanding its customer base and introducing new modules and APIs, thereby solidifying its status as a comprehensive operational software provider.

Pride Capital Partners aims to support Duell’s management team in executing a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate the fragmented Nordic POS market. This strategy will target complementary businesses that can accelerate recurring revenue growth and broaden Duell’s product offerings. “Duell is built to replace the fragmented, on-premises, and silo-based systems that many businesses still operate today,” said a representative from Duell. “Pride Capital Partners stands out as an investor that truly understands what software founders and product teams need to build long-term value.”

The acquisition positions Duell to capture a larger share of the Nordic POS market, leveraging its modern, cloud-native platform and a strong partnership with Loomis-Pay. The management team is optimistic about the future, with plans to enhance product offerings through the introduction of new modules and APIs.

As the integration process begins, Pride Capital Partners will provide both capital and hands-on support to facilitate M&A transactions. The financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, but the strategic implications are clear: this acquisition is set to accelerate Duell’s growth trajectory in the Nordic region.

Looking ahead, the combined entity is poised to navigate the complexities of integrating operations while pursuing its ambitious growth strategy. The management team is committed to aligning corporate cultures and streamlining technology platforms to ensure a seamless transition.
