Kuiphuis Acquires Van Marwijk Crane Rental to Expand Services

Kuiphuis, a prominent Dutch company specializing in crane rental, lifting technology, and logistics solutions, has acquired Van Marwijk Crane Rental, a family-owned business based in Zoeterwoude, effective April 1, 2026. This acquisition marks a significant step in Kuiphuis’s growth strategy, aimed at expanding its footprint and service offerings in the western Netherlands.

Van Marwijk Crane Rental, founded in 1965, has built a strong reputation in South Holland for its craftsmanship, reliability, and personalized service. Originally starting as a taxi company in 1941 before transitioning into garage and recovery operations, Van Marwijk expanded into crane rental and lifting services in the mid-1960s. The company supports projects across construction, industry, maritime, defense sectors, and even the Royal House.

Under the terms of the deal, Kuiphuis acquires 100% ownership of Van Marwijk Crane Rental. While the financial details remain undisclosed, the acquisition includes the integration of Van Marwijk’s operations into Kuiphuis’s existing framework. However, Van Marwijk’s brand and team will remain intact initially to ensure continuity for customers and employees.

Kuiphuis, founded in 1908, has invested heavily in innovation, sustainability, and nationwide coverage in recent years.
