KKR Closes $23 Billion North America Private Equity Fund XIV

KKR, a leading global investment firm, has announced the final close of KKR North America Fund XIV (“NAX4”) on April 2, 2026, securing approximately $23 billion in total commitments. The fund is the largest private equity vehicle dedicated exclusively to North America and will focus on opportunistic investments across the region.

The successful fundraising reflects strong investor confidence, with backing from a broad global base including pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, family offices, and other institutional investors. According to KKR, the close demonstrates the consistency of its investment approach and the strength of its platform in driving operational and cultural improvements within portfolio companies.

NAX4 builds on KKR’s long-standing presence in North America, where the firm has been investing for nearly 50 years. Over the past decade, its predecessor funds have delivered strong performance, achieving a gross IRR of 23% (19% net) and a gross multiple of 2.1x (1.8x net) as of the end of 2025.

The fund will continue KKR’s emphasis on partnering with management teams to enhance business performance while also expanding its commitment to employee ownership programs. Since 2011, KKR portfolio companies have awarded equity to more than 200,000 non-senior employees globally, reinforcing the firm’s belief in broad-based ownership as a driver of long-term value creation.

With approximately $229 billion in private equity assets under management, KKR continues to scale its global platform. The close of NAX4 brings total capital raised across its latest flagship regional funds to $46 billion, positioning the firm to capitalize on a strong pipeline of investment opportunities across North America.
