Karmijn Acquires SecurityXpert to Expand Healthcare Security

Investment company Karmijn has acquired SecurityXpert, a specialized healthcare security provider based in IJsselstein, Netherlands. The acquisition, announced on April 9, 2026, brings SecurityXpert together with Met WA Beveiliging under the newly formed Curantis Veiligheidsgroep, a group focused exclusively on security services for healthcare institutions.

SecurityXpert will continue to operate under its own name alongside Met WA Beveiliging, collaborating closely on training, knowledge sharing, and operational support. The partnership aims to leverage combined expertise to better serve healthcare clients and pursue both organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

Founded in 1997 by Conrad van Tuijl, SecurityXpert employs approximately 60 security officers. The company specializes in healthcare security, offering services such as static guarding, event security, and traffic coordination. With a strong regional presence in the central Netherlands, SecurityXpert serves notable clients including Diakonessenhuis and Kwintes, establishing a solid market position within healthcare environments.

Met WA Beveiliging, led by Managing Director Jasper Kamman, complements SecurityXpert’s capabilities. Kamman highlights the increasing complexity of healthcare security, stating, “By bringing SecurityXpert and Met WA together within Curantis, we can further develop and scale this knowledge. This enables us to better support healthcare institutions with solutions that align with day-to-day practice.” The combined group aims to offer broader operational coverage and specialized services tailored to healthcare needs.
