Eager acquires Mailmeisters, adding specialized e-mail marketing expertise to its AI-driven digital growth platform. Learn about the strategic expansion.

Eager, a digital growth platform known for its portfolio of specialized marketing agencies, has announced on April 9, 2026, that it has acquired Mailmeisters, a Zwolle-based e-mail marketing specialist. This strategic move adds dedicated expertise in e-mail marketing, personalization, and marketing automation to Eager’s group, addressing a previously unmet client need.

Mailmeisters focuses exclusively on e-mail marketing, supporting clients from strategy development through to execution. The agency helps organizations optimize their e-mail channels to achieve sustained growth. Jan den Bakker, founder of Mailmeisters, explains that the company’s focused approach has enabled it to deliver consistent improvements for clients. Joining Eager will accelerate Mailmeisters’ growth while allowing it to maintain its independent identity.

“Within Eager, we work with specialized agencies each bringing unique expertise,” says Marten Post, founder of Eager. “E-mail marketing is a critical channel for many clients, but until now, we lacked a dedicated specialist. Mailmeisters has proven its capabilities and now brings that expertise into the group.”

Mailmeisters and Traffic Today, another Eager agency, now share office space in Zwolle. This proximity facilitates daily collaboration while preserving each agency’s distinct culture. Both agencies already serve joint clients, including those of iClicks and DRIIVN, enabling broader and more effective marketing support.

The integration also opens opportunities for faster innovation, particularly in data and artificial intelligence (AI). Den Bakker highlights AI’s role in enhancing e-mail relevance and efficiency. “Being part of a larger group allows us to apply AI-driven developments more rapidly for our clients,” he says.

With Mailmeisters’ addition, Eager’s group now comprises 14 agencies, with plans to grow to around 20 within the year. Eager positions itself as an AI-first digital growth platform, fostering innovation through a combination of specialization, autonomy, and collaboration. AI is central to accelerating processes and driving new marketing solutions across the group.

The deal’s financial terms were not disclosed. However, the acquisition is expected to generate synergies through cross-selling e-mail marketing services to existing clients, bundling marketing automation with other digital offerings, and consolidating administrative functions. Shared office space and technology investments further support operational efficiencies.

Market analysts note that this acquisition strengthens Eager’s competitive position by filling a gap in its service portfolio. As digital marketing increasingly relies on personalized, automated e-mail campaigns, having in-house expertise is a significant advantage. Competitors may respond by seeking similar partnerships or investing in AI-driven marketing technologies.

Looking ahead, Eager plans to integrate Mailmeisters’ capabilities seamlessly while preserving its specialized focus. The group aims to leverage combined resources to accelerate innovation and deliver comprehensive marketing solutions. Regulatory approvals were not mentioned, suggesting a smooth integration process.

Overall, the acquisition reflects broader industry trends toward consolidation and specialization within digital marketing. Eager’s AI-first approach positions it to capitalize on evolving client demands and technological advancements.
