Cegos Group, a global leader in Learning & Development, has acquired Euroforum, a prominent Dutch training provider, as part of its strategy to strengthen its international presence. The deal, announced on January 12, 2026, marks a significant step in Cegos' expansion into the Netherlands.
Cegos Group, an international leader in Learning & Development (L&D) backed by Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC), has announced its acquisition of Euroforum, a key player in the Dutch professional training sector. This strategic move aims to enhance Cegos’ footprint in the Netherlands, a market recognized for its advanced digitalization and educational innovation.
Founded in 1975, Euroforum has established itself as a leading provider of training and conferences, offering over 300 programs that cover essential topics such as finance, public policy, energy transition, data and AI, healthcare, legal affairs, and organizational development. The acquisition allows Cegos to tap into Euroforum’s established client base and expand its offerings in a mature market that benefits from strong public-policy support for lifelong learning.
“The acquisition of Euroforum is fully aligned with our development strategy, as the Dutch professional training market is one of the most mature and innovative in Europe,” said a Cegos spokesperson. “We are convinced that this alliance will create tremendous value for both our clients and our teams, because Cegos and Euroforum share a strong belief: human potential is at the heart of skills development.”
This acquisition not only marks a significant milestone for Cegos, which is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, but also for Euroforum, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025. The joining of these two historical players in the sector symbolizes a natural alliance aimed at supporting organizations and individuals in their skills development and transformations while promoting sustainable performance.
In terms of market context, the professional training sector is experiencing a surge in demand as organizations increasingly prioritize skills development. Cegos’ acquisition of Euroforum is expected to significantly increase its market share in the Dutch training sector, which is known for its innovative approaches and high-quality offerings.
While specific financial details of the deal were not disclosed, the integration of Euroforum into Cegos is anticipated to create synergies in revenue through cross-selling opportunities and operational efficiencies by streamlining resources. However, challenges may arise, including cultural alignment between the two organizations and the retention of key Euroforum talent.
Looking ahead, Cegos plans to integrate Euroforum’s training methodologies and enhance its digital platforms to broaden its reach. The acquisition positions Cegos to reaffirm its international impact and commitment to supporting economic, technological, and societal transformations through effective training solutions.
