AutoStore, a Norway-based leader in automation, software, and AI for storage and order fulfilment, has entered into an agreement to acquire Logiqs B.V., a Dutch company specializing in automation solutions for horticulture, vertical farming, and warehouse logistics. The deal, announced on November 5, 2026, marks a strategic step for AutoStore to expand its product platform to include automated pallet storage systems.

While financial terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed, AutoStore will acquire 100% of Logiqs’ business operations and technology assets. Until the transaction closes, both companies will continue to operate independently. The acquisition is expected to enhance AutoStore’s ability to address a wider range of customer needs by integrating Logiqs’ proprietary pallet storage technology with AutoStore’s existing compact bin storage systems.

Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Maasdijk, the Netherlands, Logiqs has developed automation solutions primarily for horticulture and warehouse logistics. Its flagship product, the iCUBE automated pallet storage system, features four-way shuttles and proprietary control software. Logiqs’ technology is deployed at approximately 30 customer sites across various industries, supported by a team of 60 employees with expertise in automation, software, and product development.

AutoStore, established in Norway, operates around 2,000 systems in more than 68 countries. It is renowned for its robotic storage system where robots navigate a grid to store and retrieve goods in bins. The acquisition of Logiqs is intended to complement AutoStore’s platform by adding roaming pallet automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), broadening its automation capabilities.

Reyer van der Louw, CEO of Logiqs, said, “This acquisition is an opportunity to accelerate our technology together with AutoStore. The cultural similarities between our companies provide a strong foundation for collaboration, and we are confident that our combined expertise will create value for customers.”

Mats Hovland Vikse, CEO of AutoStore, added, “We have identified Logiqs’ technology as a core asset that will help us build an autonomous, intelligent fulfilment platform. Integrating pallet AS/RS into our offering will enable us to serve a broader set of customer requirements.”

Parth Joshi, Chief Product Officer at AutoStore, noted, “Logiqs brings deep experience and insight into an exciting new product area. We look forward to jointly developing the platform and delivering enhanced value to customers.”

Logiqs’ roots in horticulture remain integral to its business. The company will continue to support and sell its existing horticultural automation systems, maintaining ongoing projects and customer support post-acquisition.

The deal reflects broader industry trends toward consolidation and integration of hardware and software in warehouse automation. Competitors may face increased pressure to enhance their software capabilities and offer comprehensive automation solutions. The combined R&D efforts of AutoStore and Logiqs are expected to accelerate innovation cycles and improve system interoperability.

Key challenges include aligning product development roadmaps, integrating software platforms with existing hardware, and managing cultural integration between teams. Ensuring smooth customer transition and support continuity will also be critical to the acquisition’s success.

Looking ahead, AutoStore plans to leverage Logiqs’ practical experience and customer relationships alongside its own international network to expand market reach. Further details on integration and technology development will be shared as plans progress.
