Borromin Capital, a Frankfurt-based private equity firm, announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Hollanddak Groep B.V. and its subsidiary Hollanddak B.V., headquartered in Waalwijk, the Netherlands. The transaction, completed in August 2026 as part of a management buy-out, positions Borromin to support Hollanddak’s strategic development and geographic expansion. Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
Hollanddak specializes in roofing services for technically complex flat roofs, primarily serving industrial, logistics, and commercial buildings. Founded in 1999, the company offers comprehensive lifecycle services including new builds, renovations, maintenance, and ad-hoc repairs. Hollanddak has established strong relationships with property developers, construction firms, real estate investors, and property managers, earning a reputation for delivering technically demanding projects under tight timelines.
Viktor Strauch, Partner at Borromin, highlights the company’s experienced management team and the growth potential driven by an aging industrial building stock and increasing technical complexity in roofing. “The fragmented competitive landscape and market dynamics in the Netherlands and beyond present excellent opportunities,” he says. Borromin aims to leverage its expertise to strengthen Hollanddak’s position as a leading lifecycle-oriented roofing platform.
The acquisition is supported by debt financing from Oldenburgische Landesbank. Borromin, founded in 2001, focuses on medium-sized companies in German-speaking Europe and the Benelux region, investing in succession, management buy-outs, and growth opportunities.
Strategically, the deal enables Hollanddak to expand its geographic footprint and enhance its integrated lifecycle roofing services. Borromin plans to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities within its portfolio and optimize operational efficiencies through economies of scale in procurement and shared services. The company also aims to address the growing demand for refurbishment and maintenance driven by aging industrial infrastructure.
Industry consolidation is expected to accelerate as Hollanddak’s strengthened market position may pressure smaller competitors. The company faces integration challenges including aligning management processes and maintaining service quality during expansion. However, the transaction positions Hollanddak to capture growth in the industrial and logistics sectors while expanding into adjacent commercial real estate markets.
Looking ahead, Borromin and Hollanddak will focus on seamless integration and scaling operations to realize the full potential of this partnership. Regulatory approvals are not expected to pose significant hurdles given the deal’s regional scope.
This acquisition underscores Borromin’s commitment to investing in profitable mid-sized companies with strong growth prospects in specialized industrial services.
