Carasent has committed to acquiring Infosolutions Sverige AB, including its wholly owned subsidiaries, for an enterprise value of SEK 115 million. The acquisition, announced on April 27, 2026, aims to strengthen Carasent’s position in the Swedish healthcare IT market by integrating Infosolutions’ connectivity solutions into its electronic health record (EHR) ecosystem.

Infosolutions specializes in software that links healthcare providers’ EHR systems with laboratories and diagnostic services such as blood tests, tissue sampling, X-rays, and MRI scans. This connectivity is critical for private healthcare providers in Sweden, who rely on Infosolutions to order, track, and display laboratory and radiology results. The system also facilitates digital referrals between healthcare providers, enhancing workflow efficiency.

Infosolutions holds a unique market position as the leading provider connecting virtually all private and public laboratories in Sweden. Its network includes over 1,500 healthcare providers, more than 30 laboratories across multiple disciplines, and 40 radiology clinics. In 2025, Infosolutions generated SEK 67 million in revenue, with approximately SEK 41 million recurring, and reported an EBITDAC around breakeven.

The purchase price will be paid 90 percent in cash and 10 percent in repurchased Carasent shares, valued at SEK 23.74 per share based on a 90-day volume-weighted average price. This corresponds to 538,555 shares. Carasent expects to complete the transaction during the second quarter of 2026.

Carasent, a healthcare IT company focused on EHR systems, has long integrated Infosolutions’ software as a key add-on in its Swedish product offerings. Daniel Öhman, CEO of Carasent, stated, “Infosolutions plays an absolutely critical role for EHR systems serving Swedish private healthcare providers. It therefore feels very natural for them to become part of our ecosystem, which significantly strengthens the position of our systems and enables us to create an even better and smoother interaction between our customers and other key actors in the industry.”

The acquisition aligns with Carasent’s strategic goals to expand its integrated healthcare IT ecosystem, leveraging Infosolutions’ extensive network to enhance recurring revenue streams and cross-selling opportunities. By consolidating connectivity solutions, Carasent aims to improve interoperability between EHR platforms and diagnostic services, streamline digital referral processes, and standardize service delivery across both public and private healthcare sectors.

Market trends indicate increasing demand for integrated healthcare IT solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange between providers and diagnostic services. Carasent’s acquisition of Infosolutions positions the company to capitalize on this trend, potentially raising barriers to entry for competitors and accelerating industry consolidation.

Financially, Carasent maintains its organic growth and margin targets, viewing Infosolutions as having comparable margin potential to its existing portfolio. The integration will focus on aligning product roadmaps and technology platforms while ensuring service continuity for over 1,500 healthcare providers during the transition.

Potential challenges include managing cultural integration, realizing anticipated margin improvements given Infosolutions’ current breakeven EBITDAC, and navigating regulatory and data privacy considerations inherent in healthcare data connectivity.

Looking ahead, Carasent plans to leverage the acquisition to deepen service offerings, increase customer retention, and expand its footprint within the Swedish healthcare IT market. The company will provide further updates post-completion in Q2 2026.
