NDI ICT Solutions acquires VoiceByte, expanding its smart building and network infrastructure services to over 100 commercial properties in the Netherlands.

NDI ICT Solutions has completed the acquisition of VoiceByte, a Dutch company specializing in network infrastructure for commercial real estate. This strategic move significantly expands NDI’s footprint in the real estate technology sector, now managing IT services across more than 100 properties nationwide. The deal was announced on April 23, 2026, although financial terms were not disclosed.

VoiceByte, founded in 2007 by Michael van de Wetering, has built a strong reputation for designing and managing complex multi-tenant network environments. Its portfolio includes both the ‘invisible’ infrastructure such as fiber optic networks and cabling, and visible technologies like LED walls, narrowcasting, access control, and meeting room systems. These offerings complement NDI ICT Solutions’ existing services under its specialized label focused on connectivity and building IT.

Robert Wolthuis, CEO of NDI ICT Solutions, emphasized the growing integration of real estate and IT: “Property and IT have become inseparable. Tenants expect connectivity from day one, and owners want control over their building infrastructure. With VoiceByte, we add a specialist in the segment where these worlds converge.” VoiceByte will continue to operate under its own brand while collaborating closely with NDI to deliver comprehensive ICT solutions.

The acquisition responds to a clear market trend where commercial property owners seek a single partner to manage all aspects of building technology—from fiber connections to security cameras and reception software. By combining forces, NDI and VoiceByte create one of the largest specialized providers of ICT solutions for property managers and multi-tenant office buildings in the Netherlands.

Strategically, the deal enables cross-selling of integrated ICT and smart building services, broadening the client base and increasing contract sizes. Operational synergies include shared administrative costs, consolidated vendor contracts, and streamlined project management. The combined expertise enhances service delivery and customer experience, offering end-to-end connectivity and facility management solutions.

Industry analysts note that this acquisition accelerates consolidation in the Dutch commercial real estate ICT market. Competitors may face increased pressure to form partnerships or pursue similar acquisitions to keep pace with NDI’s expanded capabilities.

Integration challenges include maintaining VoiceByte’s brand identity, aligning IT systems, and managing cultural differences between the companies. Retaining key personnel and clients will be critical to sustaining service quality during the transition.

Looking ahead, NDI ICT Solutions aims to leverage the combined client base to develop new smart building technologies that integrate IT infrastructure with tenant services. This positions the company to capitalize on the growing demand for intelligent, connected commercial properties.

As the commercial real estate sector increasingly views internet connectivity as essential as utilities like water and electricity, NDI ICT Solutions’ expanded portfolio places it at the forefront of this evolving market.
