VitaminºC Launches €18M Climate Fund Amid Market Slowdown

VitaminºC, a newly established female-led venture capital firm based in Zurich and San Francisco, has announced the first close of its €18 million debut fund focused on early-stage climate technologies. Founded in 2026 by Nathalie Moral and Sophie Lamparter, the firm aims to invest in climate mitigation and adaptation solutions at the pre-seed and seed stages, with ticket sizes ranging from €0.5 million to €1.5 million.

The fund is backed by European entrepreneurial families and supported by ClimateTech founders and policy experts. VitaminºC positions itself as a bridge between Europe and the U.S., helping startups scale internationally by connecting them with customers, talent, and investors across both markets.

Launching at a time when climate tech funding is slowing and valuations are resetting, the firm sees opportunity in the current market environment. It targets sectors such as energy, food and agriculture, carbon removal, and human adaptation, with each investment required to demonstrate measurable impact—either reducing at least 100,000 tons of CO₂ or improving resilience for 100,000 people within five years.

VitaminºC has already made its first investment in Satellites on Fire, a startup leveraging AI and satellite data to detect and prevent wildfires. Beyond capital, the firm supports portfolio companies through academic partnerships, non-dilutive funding, and blended finance models, emphasizing that impact and financial returns go hand in hand.
