This strategic move, finalized on March 3, 2026, will see the integration of 75 skilled professionals into Hoppenbrouwers’ workforce, significantly enhancing its capabilities in delivering sustainable energy solutions for residential properties.
With this acquisition, Hoppenbrouwers aims to bolster its nationwide service organization dedicated to the sustainability of homes. Pieter Zwart, CEO of Coolblue, stated, “With the sale to Hoppenbrouwers, our customers gain access to even more smart solutions for energy savings at home, such as home batteries and heating systems. This allows us to focus entirely on energy contracts and our core services.”
Hoppenbrouwers has been expanding its private sector operations, now employing nearly 400 professionals who assist consumers, homeowners’ associations, and housing corporations in making their properties future-proof. Henny de Haas, CEO of Hoppenbrouwers, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, saying, “This purchase not only strengthens our position in the sustainability of homes but also enhances our operational capacity in the Randstad region. We are acquiring not just installations but also expertise and knowledge.”
The acquisition is expected to provide Coolblue’s customers with a broader range of energy-saving solutions, including heat pumps, solar panels, and air conditioning systems, alongside the newly integrated heating systems and home batteries. The commitment to maintaining high service quality remains a priority.
As Hoppenbrouwers integrates these new professionals, the company aims to enhance its service delivery and operational efficiency. The acquisition aligns with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the Netherlands, reflecting broader industry trends towards energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Looking ahead, Hoppenbrouwers plans to streamline its operations and leverage the expertise of the newly acquired workforce to improve service delivery. The company is optimistic about the potential for growth and innovation in the energy services market, particularly as it navigates the integration of Coolblue’s team.
This acquisition marks a significant step for Hoppenbrouwers as it continues to position itself as a key player in the energy services sector, contributing to the ongoing energy transition in the Netherlands.
