T.R.S. acquires Buysse Recycling in 2026, expanding its recycling, demolition, and concrete production services into East Flanders. Read more on this strategic deal.

T.R.S., a family-owned company headquartered in Meulebeke and part of the Casteleyn Group, has acquired Buysse Recycling, a specialist in demolition and recycling based in Eeklo, East Flanders. The acquisition, announced in September 2026, represents a strategic move to extend T.R.S.’s geographic reach beyond West Flanders and to strengthen its position in the regional waste management and construction materials market.

While the financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, T.R.S. has taken full ownership of Buysse Recycling, integrating its operations into the existing business framework. The acquisition adds a new location in Eeklo to T.R.S.’s current site in Meulebeke, enabling the company to better serve customers across East Flanders with a comprehensive range of services.

Founded in 2000 by brothers Nicolas and Tommy Buysse, Buysse Recycling has developed a robust portfolio including demolition works, mobile crushing, recycling of construction and demolition waste, container rental services, and a concrete production plant established in 2012. Over the years, the company expanded its capabilities with a temporary storage facility for excavated soil and a dedicated concrete plant, positioning itself as a key player in the local recycling and demolition industry.

T.R.S. operates primarily in container rental, waste management, recycling, and concrete production. Under the leadership of Thomas and Niek Casteleyn, the company has built a strong reputation in West Flanders for quality and service. The acquisition of Buysse Recycling aligns with T.R.S.’s growth strategy to broaden its service portfolio and geographic coverage.

According to company statements, the deal will allow T.R.S. to offer its full suite of services—including container rental, demolition, mobile crushing, recycling of construction and demolition waste, and concrete production—to clients in East Flanders. Customers can also access a variety of materials such as mixed rubble, concrete rubble, sea sand, river sand, asphalt rubble, sieved soil, stabilized soil, lean concrete, and mortar at the Eeklo site.

Industry observers note that this acquisition strengthens T.R.S.’s market position by combining complementary assets and expanding its customer base. The integration is expected to generate operational efficiencies through shared logistics and administrative functions, while enhancing service flexibility by leveraging Buysse Recycling’s mobile crushing capabilities.

The regional recycling and demolition market is experiencing consolidation, with companies seeking scale and geographic diversification to meet growing demand and regulatory requirements. T.R.S.’s expansion into East Flanders positions it competitively against local rivals and may prompt further M&A activity in the sector.

Financial details such as deal multiples or funding sources were not disclosed. No external advisors were reported to have been involved in the transaction.

Looking ahead, T.R.S. plans to integrate Buysse Recycling’s operations smoothly while maintaining service quality and customer relationships. The company aims to leverage the combined expertise and infrastructure to support sustainable growth and reinforce its role as a trusted partner in container rental, waste management, recycling, and concrete production across Flanders.
