SolidQ, part of the Techone Group, has completed the acquisition of Trots IT, a Sassenheim-based company focused on secure IT management for SMEs since 2005. The acquisition strengthens SolidQ’s capabilities in full-service IT management by adding Trots IT’s two decades of experience in digital security and proactive zero trust methodologies. Techone Group has been backed by global investment firm KKR since November 2025.
The terms of the deal, including financial details, were not disclosed. Trots IT’s entire team will join SolidQ’s Breukelen office, while existing client contact points, including phone numbers and email addresses, will remain unchanged. Peter van der Linden, founder and owner of Trots IT, will exit the company following the transaction.
Trots IT has built a reputation for its preventive security approach, emphasizing identity protection, continuous monitoring and business continuity for SME clients. This aligns closely with SolidQ’s approach of combining advanced technology with personalized client engagement.
Founded in 2005, Trots IT specializes in zero trust security frameworks, focusing on strict identity verification and continuous validation to prevent unauthorized access. The company provides secure managed IT services designed to protect SMEs against cybersecurity threats while supporting business continuity.
SolidQ, headquartered in Breukelen, provides managed IT, cloud, connectivity and cybersecurity services. The acquisition expands its presence in the Dutch SME market, broadens its customer base and creates opportunities to cross-sell additional IT and cybersecurity solutions. Trots IT’s team and client portfolio will be fully integrated into SolidQ’s operations.
As part of Techone Group, SolidQ operates within a broader Dutch provider of IT, telecommunications and technology services. KKR has backed Techone Group since November 2025, providing additional resources to support the group’s continued expansion and buy-and-build strategy. The acquisition of Trots IT represents a further step in expanding the group’s capabilities and market presence in managed IT and cybersecurity services.
