NVentures extends funding in Alice & Bob’s €100M Series B to advance hybrid quantum-classical computing solutions. Learn more about this strategic partnership.
NVentures, the venture capital division of NVIDIA, announces an expanded investment in Alice & Bob, a quantum computing company headquartered in Paris and Boston. This extension is part of Alice & Bob’s ongoing €100 million Series B funding round, announced on May 22, 2026. While financial terms remain undisclosed, the investment marks a significant step in the companies’ strategic partnership focused on hybrid quantum-classical computing.
Alice & Bob specializes in fault-tolerant quantum computing, leveraging its proprietary cat qubit technology. The company aims to build the first universal fault-tolerant quantum computer, reducing hardware requirements by up to 200 times compared to competing approaches. NVentures’ investment supports Alice & Bob’s efforts to develop scalable quantum architectures integrated with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing ecosystem.
Théau Peronnin, CEO of Alice & Bob, highlights the collaboration: “We’ve been working alongside NVIDIA to connect our cat-qubit architecture with its full accelerated computing ecosystem, from hardware to software, in support of the first fault-tolerant quantum computers. NVentures’ investment marks a new phase in that relationship and reinforces our common view that the future of quantum will be hybrid, combining quantum and classical computing to solve real-world problems.”
Since 2024, Alice & Bob and NVIDIA have collaborated on several technical fronts, including NVIDIA CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, and Dynamiqs, Alice & Bob’s open-source quantum simulation library. They also work together on NVQLink, NVIDIA’s open architecture for hybrid quantum-classical computing. This partnership aims to integrate cat qubits with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing infrastructure and software stack, facilitating deployment of quantum computers in high-performance computing centers worldwide.
Timothy Costa, Vice President and General Manager of Quantum at NVIDIA, adds, “NVIDIA has built the platform the quantum ecosystem needs to develop and run hybrid quantum-GPU supercomputers, connecting quantum processors to state-of-the-art accelerated computing. Alice & Bob shares NVIDIA’s vision for accelerated quantum supercomputing and has worked closely with us to integrate their qubits with our quantum platform for advancing the scientific computing of the future.”
The quantum computing sector is rapidly evolving, with increasing emphasis on hybrid architectures that combine quantum processors with classical computing resources. NVentures’ investment in Alice & Bob strengthens its position in this emerging market by adding a specialized quantum software provider with innovative technology. The deal also supports geographic expansion in Europe and enhances product offerings with advanced quantum algorithm capabilities.
Financial details of the investment were not disclosed, and no advisors were publicly named. The collaboration is expected to accelerate commercialization of quantum computing applications, leveraging combined R&D efforts to shorten time-to-market and expand customer reach.
Looking ahead, Alice & Bob and NVIDIA plan to continue integrating their technologies and expanding their joint innovation pipeline. Challenges remain in aligning development roadmaps and managing operational integration, but both companies emphasize their commitment to advancing hybrid quantum-classical computing solutions.
This investment signals growing momentum in the quantum computing industry, with competitors likely to increase their own investments and partnerships to keep pace with technological advancements.
