Everfield acquires Danish POS and inventory software provider Amero, expanding its Nordic footprint in specialty retail and entertainment sectors.
Everfield has acquired Amero, a Denmark-based software provider offering modular point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management solutions tailored for specialty retail, second-hand, and entertainment sectors. This acquisition, completed on April 13, 2026, represents Everfield’s third transaction in the Nordic region within the last twelve months, underscoring its strategic focus on expanding its presence in Northern Europe.
Amero, headquartered in Aarhus and employing 50 staff, was formed in 2023 through the merger of FlexPOS and Amero, combining expertise dating back to 2005 and 2011 respectively. The company’s platform serves primarily mid-sized and large organizations operating multiple locations across Denmark and the broader Nordic region. Notable clients include the Red Cross, the National Museum of Denmark, and Bahne.
Amero’s software integrates POS, inventory, and customer management into a unified system compatible with stationary terminals, tablets, mobile devices, and self-service kiosks. The platform supports over 35 pre-built API integrations with payment gateways, logistics providers, ERP systems, and content management platforms. Industry-specific features include online ticketing and visitor analytics for entertainment operators, alongside pricing tools designed for second-hand retailers.
Jakob, representing Amero’s former owners, stated, “For Kasper, Jacob and myself, it has been important to find the right partner for Amero’s next phase. With Everfield, we get a long-term owner who understands our business and allows us to continue developing Amero while staying true to our culture and values.”
Everfield’s Country Manager for the Nordics, Lorenz Fuglsang, commented, “Amero is one of the preferred software providers for specialty retail businesses in Denmark. Its unified platform covers point-of-sale, payments, inventory, and customer management in one system. We are excited to back the team and provide the support and resources they need to scale further.”
The acquisition enhances Everfield’s growing portfolio of European vertical software companies, particularly strengthening its expertise in POS and operational software for retail and entertainment businesses. The deal is expected to generate synergies through cross-selling opportunities, expanded customer reach, and shared R&D resources. Operational efficiencies will arise from integrating Amero’s extensive API ecosystem and standardizing platform architecture.
Industry analysts note that this acquisition consolidates Everfield’s position as a leading provider in the Nordic specialty retail and entertainment software markets. It also intensifies competitive pressure on smaller regional providers, potentially accelerating further consolidation in the sector.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everfield plans to maintain Amero’s corporate culture and values while leveraging its long-term ownership model to foster innovation and growth. Integration efforts will focus on harmonizing technical platforms and ensuring seamless customer service during the transition.
Looking ahead, Everfield aims to capitalize on Amero’s modular platform and industry-specific add-ons to broaden its product offerings and deepen market penetration across the Nordics. The acquisition aligns with Everfield’s strategy to build a robust ecosystem of SaaS companies serving specialized verticals in Europe.
