ESET Acquires Cyber Defense Group, Establishes Dutch Operations

ESET, a leading European cybersecurity company, announces the acquisition of Cyber Defense Group, a Dutch organization operating under the name ESET Nederland. This strategic move grants ESET a direct operational presence in the Netherlands, a key market within its international growth strategy.

The deal, announced on May 19, 2026, involves a full acquisition of Cyber Defense Group, although financial terms were not disclosed. The integration will deepen ESET’s access to local expertise and strengthen its European Security Operations Center (SOC) network, positioning the Netherlands as a significant cybersecurity hub within ESET’s global infrastructure.

Founded as a global cybersecurity provider, ESET specializes in threat detection, endpoint security, and managed security services. Cyber Defense Group has been active in the Dutch market for several years, operating as ESET Nederland and providing cybersecurity solutions tailored to local clients.

According to Miroslav Mikuš, ESET’s Chief Sales Officer, the Dutch market is recognized for its early adoption of advanced technologies and serves as a benchmark for broader European trends.
