Yource Acquires EUclaim, Europe’s Oldest Flight Compensation Firm

Yource B.V. acquires EUclaim after bankruptcy, ensuring claim continuity and expanding flight compensation services across Europe.

Yource has acquired the assets and ongoing operations of EUclaim, Europe’s oldest flight compensation claims company, following EUclaim’s bankruptcy declaration by the Gelderland court on August 24, 2026.

The transaction includes the EUclaim brand, website and portfolio of active claims. Yource will continue operating EUclaim under its existing name via euclaim.nl, maintaining continuity for existing customers while reopening the platform for new claims. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

EUclaim, founded in 2007, has helped nearly 850,000 passengers pursue compensation from airlines under European Regulation 261/2004, which provides eligible passengers with compensation for significant flight delays and certain cancellations attributable to airlines. Despite its established brand and market position, EUclaim entered bankruptcy following financial difficulties.

Following the acquisition, Yource intends to continue processing EUclaim’s existing claims on a no-cure-no-pay basis. The transition involves contacting EUclaim customers in phases and requesting online authorization to allow Yource to continue handling their claims. Without this authorization, existing claims cannot be transferred for further processing.

The acquisition takes place against the backdrop of a significant ownership transition and financial restructuring at Yource. Yource Holdings B.V. is primarily a business process outsourcing provider specializing in customer contact services, including insourcing, outsourcing, nearshoring and offshoring, as well as staffing services.

Yource had been majority-owned by Dutch private equity firm Parcom since December 2020. Parcom acquired its majority interest in a transaction valued at approximately €103.8 million, of which approximately €85 million was financed through a CVC credit fund. Private equity firm KeBeK also held a minority interest.

Yource subsequently experienced financial pressure following the end of the coronavirus pandemic. Revenue declined from approximately €290 million in 2021 to €250 million in 2022, when the company recorded a €26.7 million loss. Revenue decreased further to approximately €220 million in 2023, while the FD reported revenue of approximately €215 million and a €12.9 million loss. Revenue subsequently recovered to approximately €236 million in 2024.

Yource also exceeded permitted debt levels under agreements with lenders CVC and Rabobank in the autumn of 2022 and again at the end of 2023. Parcom and minority shareholder KeBeK subsequently contributed a combined €12.5 million of additional capital. The FD additionally reported that the company had made provisions of several million euros relating to possible fraud involving coronavirus-related contracts at Belgian subsidiary Mifratel.

In 2025, Yource underwent a further ownership change. CVC Capital Partners plc, through seven CVC Credit Funds, sought sole control over Emerald HoldCo B.V., the parent company of Yource Holdings B.V. The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) approved the transaction on August 18, 2025. The transaction effectively resulted in CVC, already a significant lender to Yource, taking control of the business from its previous ownership structure.

Against this background, the acquisition of EUclaim expands Yource’s activities by adding an established flight compensation brand, customer base and active claims portfolio. Maintaining the EUclaim brand provides continuity for customers, while Yource can support the business with its existing customer-contact and operational infrastructure.

For EUclaim, the transaction provides continuity following its bankruptcy and allows outstanding customer claims to continue being processed. For Yource, the acquisition represents an expansion of its service activities following its financial restructuring and change of control to CVC.
