KTK Holding acquires Wortmann and ConnectinQ, enhancing waste container services and prefab timber software solutions. Read about the strategic deal and market impact.
KTK Holding has acquired Wortmann Milieutechniek B.V. and Wortmann Rent B.V., strengthening its position in waste compaction equipment, service, and rental solutions. Backed by Anders Invest, the acquisition expands KTK’s technical capabilities, regional footprint, and service offering while reinforcing its long-term growth strategy.
KTK has more than 35 years of experience manufacturing, selling, renting, and servicing waste containers and waste compaction systems for municipalities, waste management companies, industrial customers, healthcare institutions, and other organizations. Wortmann, based in Emmen, is a specialist in press containers, offering sales, rental, maintenance for all makes and models, and in-house transport services. The combination brings together two complementary businesses with a shared focus on technical expertise, reliability, and customer service.
The acquisition broadens KTK’s rental and aftermarket offering while significantly expanding its service organization. Together, the companies now operate with around 20 service technicians, enabling faster response times and enhanced maintenance support for customers across the Netherlands. The transaction also strengthens KTK’s presence in Northern and Eastern Netherlands through Wortmann’s facility in Emmen, which includes more than 2,000 m² of workshop space with overhead cranes and 400 m² of office space.
Operationally, the businesses are highly complementary. KTK’s manufacturing expertise and product portfolio enhance Wortmann’s technical service capabilities, while Wortmann’s established rental business and field service organization expand KTK’s nationwide offering. Customers will continue working with their existing contacts while benefiting from a broader range of products and services.
As part of the transaction, Max Wortmann joins KTK Holding as Commercial Director, bringing extensive industry knowledge and strengthening the group’s commercial capabilities while ensuring continuity for customers and suppliers.
The acquisition aligns with KTK Holding’s long-term growth strategy under the backing of Anders Invest, which focuses on supporting sustainable Dutch industrial businesses through strategic acquisitions and operational development. By combining complementary capabilities, KTK is well positioned to strengthen its leadership in waste compaction equipment and related services while pursuing further organic growth and expansion opportunities.
