Dawn Meats, a prominent Irish family-owned meat processing and distribution company, has completed the acquisition of Alexander Eyckeler GmbH, a well-established German importer and marketer of high-quality chilled and frozen meat products. The deal, announced in May 2026, marks a strategic step in Dawn Meats’ ongoing integration with the New Zealand-based Alliance Group, in which it holds a 65% stake since late 2025.

Alexander Eyckeler GmbH, headquartered in Erkrath near Düsseldorf, has operated for over 25 years as a key importer and distributor of meat specialties, including lamb, mutton, and venison. The company has represented Alliance Group’s Ashley brand in Germany, securing a dominant market position through longstanding customer and supplier relationships.

While the financial terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed, the transaction is expected to generate significant synergies by combining Dawn Meats’ processing capabilities with Alexander Eyckeler’s established German distribution network. The integration aims to streamline supply chain operations, enhance product offerings, and improve coordination across markets.
