Kipu Health, a leading provider of technology solutions for behavioral health backed by TCV, has acquired Team Recovery Technologies, a specialist in patient engagement and alumni recovery solutions. Announced on April 23, 2026, the acquisition aims to expand Kipu’s platform capabilities by integrating tools that support behavioral health providers in maintaining patient relationships beyond discharge, thereby improving recovery outcomes and driving sustainable growth.

While financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the transaction builds on a partnership established in 2025, when Team Recovery’s alumni engagement tools were first integrated into Kipu’s platform. This acquisition formalizes the relationship and extends the platform’s reach into referral growth, patient engagement, and alumni connectivity.

Kipu Health, headquartered in Miami, powers over 5 million episodes of care annually across 6,000 facilities and 150,000 users. Its intelligent operating system, Kipu Helix, supports the entire patient journey—from initial outreach and admissions to treatment, billing, and compliance. Team Recovery Technologies complements this by providing mobile app solutions and strategic coaching designed to strengthen alumni engagement, reduce relapse rates, and support value-based care initiatives. The company serves more than 150 treatment centers across the United States.

Carina Edwards, CEO of Kipu Health, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition: “The acquisition of Team Recovery Technologies is a natural next step in our mission to help customers deliver better care across the entire patient journey. By integrating patient engagement and alumni support, we empower providers to stay connected with patients long after treatment ends—improving outcomes while building stronger, more sustainable organizations.”

Colton Morgan, CEO of Team Recovery Technologies, added, “Treatment is the beginning of a lifelong journey. Our focus has always been on helping clients stay connected across every stage of care. Partnering with Kipu allows us to expand that mission and make a meaningful impact at scale.”

The acquisition reflects broader industry trends where behavioral health providers increasingly seek unified technology platforms that reduce complexity and improve efficiency. By combining clinical, financial, operational, and engagement workflows into a single platform, Kipu strengthens its market position as the most comprehensive behavioral health technology provider.

Financial details such as deal value and funding sources were not disclosed. However, the integration is expected to generate synergies through cross-selling opportunities, streamlined operations, and enhanced data analytics. Providers using the enhanced platform will benefit from improved alumni engagement, referral readmissions, and value-based care support.

Looking ahead, Kipu plans to focus on seamless integration of Team Recovery’s technology while maintaining service continuity for existing customers. The companies will also address potential challenges related to technology compatibility, regulatory compliance, and cultural alignment during the integration process.

This acquisition positions Kipu Health to better support behavioral health providers in delivering comprehensive care solutions that span from intake through long-term recovery, reinforcing its leadership in the evolving behavioral health technology market.
