On March 30, 2026, Abenex announced the final closing of its Small Cap Fund II at €180 million, exceeding its initial €160 million target and highlighting strong investor demand for its SME-focused strategy. The fund attracted a diverse mix of institutional and private investors, including pension funds, asset managers, banks, and family offices, with significant support from existing backers alongside new relationships.

Fund II builds on the success of its predecessor and will invest in high-growth SMEs across France, the Benelux, and Italy, targeting companies with enterprise values of up to €60 million. Abenex will take majority or controlling minority stakes, focusing on three core themes: improving quality of life, protecting people and assets, and enhancing knowledge and resource efficiency.

The fund has already begun deployment, with investments in companies such as Santis, Asgard Group, and Groupe Emeraude, the latter having completed multiple add-on acquisitions since Abenex’s entry. Backed by a dedicated operational team, Abenex aims to actively support portfolio companies in scaling and executing transformation strategies.
