Arctic Wolf has acquired Sevco Security to strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities through enhanced exposure management. Learn more about this strategic move.
Arctic Wolf, a prominent player in the security operations sector, has announced its acquisition of Sevco Security, an innovator in exposure assessment platforms, on February 23, 2026. This acquisition aims to integrate Sevco’s cloud-native technology with Arctic Wolf’s Aurora Platform, thereby enhancing asset intelligence and exposure management capabilities for organizations navigating increasingly complex cybersecurity landscapes.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. However, the acquisition is expected to significantly strengthen Arctic Wolf’s service offerings, allowing for a more proactive approach to security management. As organizations shift from reactive defense strategies to proactive security postures, the need for effective exposure management has become paramount.
Arctic Wolf has previously executed a financing round of $150 million with Viking Global Investors, Owl Rock, a division of Blue Owl Capital, and other existing investors. Following this round, the company achieved a valuation of $4.3 billion on July 13, 2021.
Sevco Security’s platform provides organizations with a comprehensive view of their assets and vulnerabilities, enabling security teams to prioritize risks effectively. Dan Schiappa, President of Technology and Services at Arctic Wolf, emphasized the importance of this acquisition, stating, “You cannot take a proactive approach to security without managing exposure and risk. Sevco’s recognition as a Visionary by Gartner validates their approach to asset intelligence and exposure assessment.”
The cybersecurity industry is witnessing a growing demand for exposure management solutions as organizations face expanding attack surfaces and increasing operational risks. According to the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Exposure Assessment Platforms, organizations that integrate exposure assessment data into their workflows will experience 30% less unplanned downtime from exploited vulnerabilities by 2027.
The integration of Sevco’s technology into the Aurora Platform is expected to provide customers with a unified, real-time perspective on their assets and exposures. This will facilitate smarter prioritization of security measures and streamline remediation workflows, ultimately advancing organizations toward a more proactive security stance.
J.J. Guy, CEO and co-founder of Sevco Security, remarked, “Joining Arctic Wolf accelerates our mission and brings our platform’s strengths to organizations that need unified visibility, smarter prioritization, and verifiable remediation as part of their security operations.” The acquisition is anticipated to create cross-selling opportunities and expand Arctic Wolf’s customer base by offering enhanced services.
Looking ahead, Arctic Wolf plans to focus on integrating Sevco’s technology while ensuring minimal disruption to existing services. The company will also monitor market reactions to the combined product offerings as it seeks to retain key talent from Sevco and align organizational cultures.
As the cybersecurity landscape continues to evolve, Arctic Wolf’s acquisition of Sevco Security positions the company to better address the challenges faced by organizations in managing their security operations effectively.
