VIA Outlets has acquired The Outlet Stores Alicante from UBS Asset Management, marking its third outlet center in Spain. This acquisition aligns with VIA's growth strategy to strengthen its position in the dynamic Iberian retail market.
VIA Outlets, recognized as the owner-operator of the world’s most sustainable fashion outlet centers, has successfully acquired The Outlet Stores Alicante from UBS Asset Management. This strategic move, announced on January 29, 2026, further solidifies VIA Outlets’ presence in the Spanish outlet market, adding a third center to its portfolio, which already includes the Mallorca Fashion Outlet and Sevilla Fashion Outlet.
The Outlet Stores Alicante, established in 2004, spans 36,000 square meters of gross lettable area (GLA) and is strategically located in San Vicente del Raspeig, adjacent to the University of Alicante. The center features over 50 fashion and sports brands, including Adidas, Guess, and Nike, along with 22 restaurants and leisure activities such as a cinema and bowling alley. In 2025, the center attracted more than 6.8 million visitors, benefiting from its prime location near the city’s ring road and proximity to Alicante–Elche Miguel Hernández Airport.
This acquisition is part of VIA Outlets’ broader growth strategy aimed at expanding its portfolio in key European markets. The company’s total gross lettable area now reaches 361,000 square meters, encompassing nearly 1,500 stores and attracting over 44 million annual visitors, positioning VIA Outlets among Europe’s leading outlet operators.
