Lyngsoe Systems Acquires mk Solutions’ North American Business

On January 1, 2026, Lyngsoe Systems, backed by Accent Equity,finalized its acquisition of mk Solutions’ North American business, which focuses on high-end automated handling systems and self-check solutions tailored for libraries. This strategic acquisition allows Lyngsoe Systems to sell mkS products across the United States and Canada, while also becoming the exclusive provider of support and service for existing customers in North America.

The acquisition was executed through Lyngsoe Systems Inc., the North American arm of Lyngsoe Systems Library Solutions. Following the deal, ongoing project deliveries will continue to be managed by mkS in collaboration with Lyngsoe Systems, ensuring a seamless transition for current clients. Notably, mkS’s operations in Europe and other international markets will remain unaffected.

While the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the deal is expected to create significant synergies for both companies. Lyngsoe Systems aims to leverage cross-selling opportunities in North America and expand its customer base through mkS’s existing clients. Additionally, the integration of mkS’s self-check solutions with Lyngsoe’s offerings is anticipated to enhance their product portfolio.
