VDK Groep has announced the acquisition of Campus Installatie Techniek, a Barneveld-based company specializing in electrical and mechanical installations. This acquisition, effective January 19, 2026, aims to bolster VDK's service capabilities in the growing installation technology sector.
VDK Groep has officially acquired Campus Installatie Techniek, a company located in Barneveld, as part of its ongoing strategy to enhance its service offerings in the installation technology sector. The acquisition, announced on January 19, 2026, will allow VDK Groep to integrate Campus’s expertise in electrical and mechanical installations, which focus on comfort, sustainability, and innovation.
Founded in 1989, Campus Installatie Techniek has established itself as a key player in the installation technology market, providing comprehensive solutions including the installation and maintenance of heating systems, solar panels, heat pumps, air conditioning, home automation, and security systems. The company serves a diverse clientele, including utility construction, residential buildings, schools, healthcare institutions, and private customers.
Chris van Ee, the director and owner of Campus Installatie Techniek since 2019, will remain with the company to oversee daily operations. He expressed that joining VDK Groep will enable Campus to focus more effectively on its core business and customer needs. “By aligning with VDK Groep, we can better concentrate on our clients and core business. We have invested significantly in the future viability of our company, including optimizing our processes with a new ERP system and modernizing our fleet,” said van Ee.
Frans van der Kolk, CEO and founder of VDK Groep, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition. “With the acquisition of Campus Installatie Techniek, we systematically continue our growth strategy and strengthen our position as a total installer. This addition brings valuable expertise to our multidisciplinary services offered nationally and internationally,” he stated. Van der Kolk welcomed van Ee and his team of 60 employees to the VDK family.
The acquisition is expected to enhance VDK Groep’s market share in the installation technology sector, particularly in Barneveld and surrounding regions. It will also expand the company’s service offerings in climate technology and electrical installations, providing cross-selling opportunities in security and building intelligence services.
As VDK Groep integrates Campus Installatie Techniek, it anticipates synergies that will reduce procurement costs through combined purchasing power and streamline operational processes. However, challenges may arise, including cultural alignment between the two organizations and the integration of IT systems.
Looking ahead, VDK Groep aims to leverage the combined expertise of both companies to innovate service offerings and expand into new customer segments. The acquisition aligns with broader industry trends towards consolidation and enhanced service capabilities in the installation technology market.
