Spares in Motion has announced a partnership with HAVN Capital, a private equity firm focused on energy transactions, to accelerate its international growth and enhance its offerings in the wind energy aftermarket sector.

Spares in Motion, a leading independent global marketplace for wind turbine spare parts and services, has agreed to a majority investment from HAVN Capital, a private equity firm focused on the energy transition. The transaction, announced on January 15, 2026, aims to support Spares in Motion’s international growth, expand its circular refurbishment offerings, and strengthen its position in the global wind aftermarket.

Headquartered in Rotterdam, Spares in Motion supports wind turbine owners and operators worldwide by sourcing and supplying new, used, repaired, and refurbished components, helping reduce downtime, improve performance, and extend asset lifecycles. The investment aligns closely with HAVN Capital’s strategy of backing specialist lower mid-market companies that improve the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of critical energy infrastructure.

“Spares in Motion has built a unique platform at the heart of the global wind aftermarket,” said Tomas Hvamb, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of HAVN Capital. “We see a clear opportunity to support the team in scaling internationally, accelerating circular solutions, and further professionalising spare parts management for the wind industry.”

The partnership will focus on investing in technology, data, and digital procurement tools to help customers better plan inventory, manage obsolescence, and access a broader global supplier base. A key priority will also be the expansion of refurbishment solutions, which can significantly reduce material usage and cut CO₂ emissions compared to manufacturing new parts.

Market demand for sustainable and cost-efficient wind energy solutions continues to grow as operators seek to maximise the value of existing assets. This investment is expected to strengthen Spares in Motion’s footprint in key European markets and North America, while deepening collaboration with OEMs, service providers, and asset owners.

The transaction is supported by Federated Hermes Private Equity as co-investor and Ambienta Credit as debt financing provider, reflecting strong conviction in the long-term growth of circular solutions within the wind sector.

As the energy transition accelerates globally, the partnership positions Spares in Motion to scale its platform, enhance operational efficiency, and play an increasingly important role in making wind energy more sustainable, reliable, and resource-efficient.
