Royal Van Leeuwen has acquired the global business activities of Corrotherm International, a supplier of nickel alloy seamless pipes, fittings, and flanges, as of January 13, 2026. This acquisition aims to strengthen Van Leeuwen's position in the energy sector.

Royal Van Leeuwen, based in Zwijndrecht, the Netherlands, has announced the acquisition of Corrotherm International, effective January 13, 2026. This strategic move integrates Corrotherm’s global operations, assets, and specialized team into Royal Van Leeuwen’s existing framework, with the Amersfoort office serving as the operational base for the newly acquired business.

Founded in 1992, Corrotherm International is recognized as a leading supplier of high-quality nickel alloy seamless pipes, fittings, and flanges. The company has established a strong reputation in sectors such as oil and gas and petrochemicals, providing essential materials and expertise to international clients.

Royal Van Leeuwen’s acquisition of Corrotherm is part of a broader strategy to enhance its market position through both acquisitions and organic growth. “By acquiring the global business activities of Corrotherm International, we are not only adding an important niche product to our existing portfolio of material, but are also gaining a strong team of experts with a global track record,” said Steven Ruijters, Managing Director of Van Leeuwen Benelux. “Together, we will be able to offer an even more comprehensive package of material to our customers in the energy sector.”

The acquisition is expected to create significant synergies, including cross-selling opportunities within existing customer bases and an expansion of product offerings. Additionally, Royal Van Leeuwen anticipates reductions in procurement costs through bulk purchasing and improved logistics capabilities.

In terms of market context, the energy sector is experiencing a growing demand for high-quality materials, particularly in the wake of increased investments in infrastructure and energy projects. This acquisition positions Royal Van Leeuwen to capitalize on these trends and enhance its competitive edge against other suppliers.

Looking ahead, the integration of Corrotherm’s operations will focus on aligning operational processes and retaining key talent. Royal Van Leeuwen aims to ensure a smooth transition while minimizing disruptions to customer service.

As the energy sector continues to evolve, Royal Van Leeuwen’s acquisition of Corrotherm International is poised to strengthen its market share and expand its reach in the global marketplace.
